I nodded and wanted to squeal in excitement that I could finally have some time with my dad. After he gave me another hug, he left. I roamed my room for the remainder of the time. I gazed around and smiled as I spotted pictures of all my friends and family. Staring at them in longing, I felt tears start to form in my eyes. I would do anything to be back to normal. A knock interrupted me out of my thoughts.

"Princess Markus, I have your mail." A tiny, yet deep voice said. I opened the door to see a tiny man, about 3 inches shorter than me, holding up a huge box full of letters. There were so many that they were already falling out.

"Thank you and please address me as Victoria." Shooting him a dazzling smile I took the box into my hands.

I closed the door and set it on my bed. A sudden overwhelming feeling settled in my gut. Something was about to happen, I was sure of it. There was something in this box that had my wolf howling in excitement. I eyed the box like it had three heads, then tore it open quickly.

After going through a hundred letters, I was about to give up when I smelt something very familiar. I scanned the letters that I hadn't read and found one that caught my attention. I ripped it open and put the letter to my nose. I inhaled and smelled my mate. I closed my eyes and grinned.

"What are you doing?" Shawn asked.

My head shot up and I glared at him. He was smiling widely and his eyes twinkled in amusement.

"Why do I always seem to catch you doing the most embarrassing things?" He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want Shawn?"

"I can't come and talk to my sister?" He asked, faking hurt. "C'mon, don't act like a stranger sis."

"I'm not." I sighed and stared at the floor.

"You're acting depressed. You're not yourself anymore Victoria. Talk to me. What's wrong?"

"Don't you have a mate to go to?" I snapped.

"Is that what's wrong?" He asked. I glanced up to see him staring at me in shock and a little hurt. "You think I'm going to just drop you because I have a mate?"

I didn't answer. We stared at each other for what seemed like the longest time. He sighed and took a seat beside me. "Listen to me. I would never do that to you. You're important to me, you know that. Don't ever think that I would stop loving you because I found my mate."

"So, you won't change? You'll always have time for me?" I said, making sure. Even though, I didn't have long, I still wanted to make the best out of it.

"Don't ever ask that again." He pulled me into one of his warm loving hugs.

                         "Thanks Shawn. I love you."

"I love you too." After a few minutes of hugging, he let me go. "Want me to help you with that-" He reached for the letter and I put it behind me quickly.
