Set after the death of Myrtle. Tom thinks it was Gatsby who ran over Myrtle. Daisy didn't go home, she went to Gatsby's house instead.

The car drove in a haste to the front the manor and once it neared the entrance Tom hopped out of the vehicle like a madman. He ran into the house and shouted left and right at the staff. He paused for a second when he got wind of the answer he didn't want to hear. Then Tom dropped out of sight as he went into the house. When he emerged from the house again he was rushing to the car with a gun in his hand.

The entire drive to East Egg was spent with Jordan and I trying, unsuccessfully might I add, to calm Tom down. The " Tom you're not that kind of man." and, " Tom, turn the car around Daisy will be home tomorrow." wasn't helping. Tom wasn't listening to us, though. He was too focused on the task ahead.

When we made it to Gatsby's house Tom ran out of the yelling "Come out here you murderous bastard! Come out and bring me my wife you sorry excuse of a man!" He went into the house uninvited shoving the servants around as he went. I turned to Jordan and had her sit on the driver's side and told her to drive away so she doesn't get mix up in all of this.

When she sped away I went to find Tom. He looking through every room and knocking down everything in his way. This included paintings, glass cups, wine bottles and any other thing that he could get his hands on, it was all smashed on the floors of Gatsby's home. He raged and roared in his search for Gatsby and Daisy.

"Tom think of what you're doing. You're going to hurt Daisy, she'll never forgive you if you hurt him. She'll hate you forever. Gatsby means more to her than you believe." I tried to talk him down from the edge with no avail.

"She is my wife whether she hates me or not. She is confused and lonely because I haven't been spending enough time with her. Daisy doesn't love that baboon. She only thinks she does now because she is feeling abandoned." He tried to reason as he kept looking through the house with a murderous glint in his eyes and motivation in his every step until he reached the condor that leads to Gatsby's bedroom. The door flung open revealing Gatsby himself. His shirt was wrinkled and his tie was loose around his neck. Gatsby shut the door behind him and stood by it protectively as if he was hiding something special. Tom picked that moment to raise his gun at Gatsby.

" You murderer you have destroyed everything. First, you kill an innocent woman in the street and don't even care enough to stop and turn around, and then you think you can have what's mine. Give me back my wife before I decide to end your pathetic life here and now." He said as he walked further down the condor. He was shaking now, shaking with so much rage and hatred.

"Tom stop and think about this, please. Think of what will happen to little Pammy. What will happen to her when you go to jail for murder? Don't leave her without a father." I pleaded. Tom decided not to listen. He raised his gun at Gatsby's heart and fired. The shot was heard echoing across the house shattering the eerie quiet that had acquisition Gatsby's house for the past few weeks.

The shot rang in my ear as it missed Gatsby by a hair and it the door. I was relieved for Tom had bad aim, although that only lasted for a second as a sound was heard from the other side of the door. It sounded as if someone had tripped and fallen and a light was seen through the whole that the bullet had made only a second ago. We all froze as the blood oozed out of the door and onto Gatsby's shoes. The door slowly opened, so slow that it was almost painful, as it revealed the true victim of Tom's careless actions.

Daisy Buchanan, the great, the beautiful..., had fallen. Even as she laid there bloody and broken, she commanded the attention of everyone in her presence. Even as the life drained out of her, she had more life in her than anyone in that room. She still held that otherworldly appearance.

The police arrived moments later and Jordan followed after them. They all stopped to take in the scene. The body, the madman with the gun, and all the destruction in the house. They handcuffed Tom as he yelled and fought with them.

"I wasn't me. He did this. He killed her. He killed them both. He's the man you want. He's the murderer. He killed her not me. Let me go I'm innocent." He raged to get out of the policies hold as they dragged him through the house and outside. A remaining officer covered Daisy's body with a sheet. It was then the life ran out of the room. That was when the life ran out of the world.

Two great beauties were taken that day first Myrtle Wilson, then the lovely Daisy Buchanan. Both taken in times of anger, both taken by reckless men with dishonest hearts. In the end, both Tom and Gatsby were cleared of all charges because of their money and connections. Tom had moved to San Francisco with little Pammy, he had gotten remarried but was back to his old ways. Gatsby had disappeared with the wind after Daisy's funeral without even a word of goodbye to his neighbor.

Even though I was taught not to judge people harshly, I would have to be blind to not see these wolves in sheep's clothing for what they really are.
