Eli gripped his sword in his hands; sweat dripping down his face, blood plastered on his clothes.

His silver-blue hair waved in the wind, carrying the battle cries of his comrades and his foes.

His green eyes shifted around the blood splattered field. Figures lay still around him, with no light in their eyes and no words to say.

That was because of him.

That was because those who had fallen had promised to Shift the World. And that is what they were going to do.

"Eli, get out of the way!"

A sword flung out in front of him, piercing through the air and straight towards his stomach.

Eyes widening, realizing he couldn't stand and daydream forever, Eli flung his weapon in the way, matching his foes attack.

Pressing hard against his sword, his foe pushed him backwards with their strength, making Eli slide backwards. They broke away, kicking Eli to the ground and raising their sword up to deliver the killing blow.

A large brown flash jumped over Eli, crashing into the enemy. Its fangs sinking deep into the flesh of its foes neck giving them a quick death.

"You really should be more careful." The beast mocked, turning round with a smile.

Eli pulled himself up, looking at his battle scared friend. He had a large gash over his shoulder and wasn't putting much weight on his back left leg. Though his orange eyes still roared fiercely in the heat of the battle, his thick brown coat of fur still in tact.

But past that he knew his friend was only trying to be strong, and it was only a matter of time until exhaustion would take over them.

"Thank you Kei." Eli brushed himself lightly against the bloodied fur of his Werewolf friend in thanks, feeling warmer inside, "Where is Ariana?"

His friends face dropped, "I don't know, lets look for her."

Eli watched as he bounded away back into the abyss in search of their friend that made their trio.

He knew how much Kei cared for Ariana, much more than a friend. The Neko and the Werewolf had grown close over the years and he was happy for them.

'At least there is still some love left in this world.'

He picked his sword back up and launched himself back into battle. His glittem weapon slicing through the air, leaving foes crying out in pain and dropping to the floor.

A black figure ran towards him, weapon drawn, catching Eli's arm and slicing it open with a quick blow.

Eli screamed out in pain as his enemy took the hilt of their sword, bashing it against his head. Vision blurred, blood dripping from his wound, he gathered his strength and flung his sword at his enemy, shoving it through its chest. His foe stared at the sword with wide eyes, chocking as blood spluttered from its mouth, disappearing into black dust, drifting away.

Their battle had been fierce and had been going on too long, though he knew this one would be the last.

The prophecies told what was to come and Eli knew they would make it so. Many had been lost over the years but they could all change that, and Shorm could be free once more.

"You bastard!"

Eli turned to see his commander, general Zail, who had led the humans into the battle, on his knees with a spear through his chest. His dark hair messy and brown eyes full of pain as his foe pried its weapon from him.
