Chapter 2: Dead Bodies

You run out of the room immediately and you run as fast as you can to the nearest classroom where you tell the teacher about the dead body. The teacher and you run to the room, the teacher calls the police and tells you to tell the principal. You run to the principle's office and tell her exactly what happened. Once the police arrive everyone leaves school early. You walk to your locker and open it, a note falls out. You pick it up with curiosity and examine it. You read the note quietly to yourself. "Let's see what this is. 'Dear (y/n), congrats...you found the dead body of a student who was a bully to many other students. I know you want to find out who did this but you won't. You won't find the murder weapon, you won't find the murderer, but we will find you. If you find the truth you must obey every order or else, you'll pay with your life.' From info Chan and YC..." You stand there in shock.

"Hey (y/n)!"

You're startled by a voice coming closer to you. You hide the note in your pocket and look at boy with blonde hair running towards you. His blue eyes shimmer in light as he reaches you. It's your friend, Chi, he's half a foot shorter than you but really good looking. He's been your friend since kindergarten and you both are impossible to separate. Even though Chi moved away a few years ago your glad to see his face and happy expression again.

"Did you hear about the dead body?"

"Yeah," You close your locker and start walking with him away from school. "I'm the one who found the dead body and informed the teacher."

"What!? Are you serious!? Was it scary!?"

"I guess...I really freaked out when I found it, honestly I tripped over it not knowing it was a dead body until I turned my phone flashlight on." You walk down the street towards your house with him.

"Do you know who did it?"

You shake your head and look down.

"You seem...uncomfortable and scared. I know, let's go get some cookies and hot chocolate from the cafe."

Chi grabs your hand and starts walking to the cafe which isn't too far from where you are. You reach the cafe and see two dead bodies in the parking lot, police tape is surrounding the place and people are looking in shock. You realize it's two girls from Akademi High, this must have happened recently.  You look around and see a person wearing a baggy hoodie run around a building to get out of the place. You leave Chi and case after them. Once you turn the corner you accidentally run straight into Ayano Aishi. You get up and help her up. "I'm so sorry Ayano, I was just...I was trying to chase after that perso-" You look behind her to see no one.

"What person? I didn't see anyone run over here. Anyway, I'm going to the cafe."

She pulls her hand from yours and tries walking past you. "wait, actually the place is closed because two girls from our school were found dead." She looks at you.

"That's unfortunate. Well, I'm still going to see who the victims were. Hope you catch the person you were running after."

She walks past you and turns the corner to the cafe. Wait, how does she know that the person you were chasing was running? You turn the corner but find that Ayano is gone and no where to be found. Things just got a whole lot creepier. Chi runs over to you out of breath.

"Why did you run off like that (y/n)?"

"...I thought I saw the killer running away but...I guess my imagination got the best of me. I'm sorry." He grabs your hand and starts walking.

"It's fine, you've been through a lot today. I understand. Maybe you should go home and rest with some hot chocolate and your favorite video game or movie."

"Sure, you can join me. I'm kind of scared to be alone at the moment with everything happening." You both are walking to your house. He nods and smiles at you, the always happy smile he always wears. You two reach your house and walk inside, Chi sits on the couch while who prepare some hot chocolate for both of you.

"Hey (y/n), there's something taped on your back."

You reach behind yourself and grab a piece of paper attached to your back. You look at it and read it, it's from Ayano. It's Ayano's phone number with a small message saying 'call me if you need anything, I don't mind picking up the phone for someone like you.' You take your phone out and add the number to your contacts. You set your phone down with the piece of paper and grab the hot chocolates. You hand one to Chi and you sit next to him as you turn on your favorite movie/cartoon/anime. (You can pick one) After awhile Chi leaves back to his own place and your home alone for the night like always. You grab your phone off the counter and walk upstairs to your room. You pull up your messaging and go to Ayano's profile. You text her.

(Y/n): "Hi Ayano, it's (y/n). Can we talk for a bit?"

Ayano: "sure, are you texting me because you have nothing better to do or is it because you can't sleep."

(Y/n): "kind of a mixture of both."

Ayano: "okay, what do you want to talk about?"

(Y/n): "Do you have any ideas on who could have murderer those students? I got this note in my locker form two people named Info chan and YC."

Ayano: "no ideas, there's the info club but I doubt you can get entry. Anywho, I got to go. Bye."

(Y/n): "Bye Ayano."

You put your phone away and slowly fall asleep.
