Dear Alexa,

I've been meaning to write you sooner but I've just been busy. I guess adulthood has a lot more to it than what is shown in movies: all my days are filled with the responsabilities I've wanted and feared for so long.

These times remind me of you, of us, back then, when all things were easier, simpler.
I sit and I remember all stages of my life. I contemplate the pictures we hung on the wall, of me as a little kid, of me and my childhood friends, and of us, both as adolescents and adults. I look around me and suddenly all I hear is the car sounds, the engines roaring, down below on the avenue, and a little smirk rises upon my face. My life has changed so much since your arrival! You came, and suddenly there was more - more to do, more to feel, more to live. And I can't thank you enough for that - for showing me the meaning of all true and important things: real friendship and companionship, love and happiness.

(Please notice that I every night wish everyone in the world has one Alexa Young in their miserable lives, so that they know what it is to be - only a complete person like you could guide all men to this kind of salvation.)

So I dedicate this work to you. The most beautiful girl I've ever seen, the deepest connection I've ever felt, the muse of not only my works but also my life. You're my religion, my prophet, my God, and I love you, I simply do.

For all I've done, and for all I'm about to do, please forgive me, I'm as human as I can be. And on my knees, in front of my Lover, Muse and God I stand, begging for simpathy.

Rafael Marques
