-Alexander Hamilton-
I can't believe I got a scholarship to King's College! I felt bad leaving my small destroyed town back in the Caribbean, but at least my mother is proud. As I walk to my dorm I drop my bags, anxious to meet my new roommate. I looked around curiously, there was two beds, but my roommate should have already been here by now, how odd. Perhaps I was alone for this semester, I recall that other people have been through the same thing.
I was done getting settled and satisfied with myself in how things came out, I had a pretty decent room. It was light blue, almost grey, with two beds, one decorated with a black bedspread and lamps on the little tables, along with pictures hung up on the wall.
Classes start tomorrow morning, but for now I assume I should get associated with some people on campus. So, I walk down to the bar and open the door, and I see that it is a pretty popular place, as the only empty seat was next to a bald young black man. I walked over and sat next to him, he seems familiar. Oh my god! This was Aaron Burr, the best friend of that guy I once fought. Oh, crap.. he may notice me. Not specifically the way to make friends, but maybe he will not recognize me. Hm, I have one of two choices, I may take my chances and speak to this stranger, or I may be passive and say nothing, accomplishing nothing I came here for.
Well I came here to talk so that's what I will do!
"Hello, my name is Alexander. Hamilton, Alexander Hamilton. And you are?" I said, turning to face to the man, whom was looking down at his drink quietly.
"Aaron. Aaron Burr," He replied in a deep shy voice back to me.
"Do you know those guys?" I asked, my eyes wandering to the three men a few seats away. They were loud, almost obnoxious, but something about them made me envious. Envious about how they seemed united. One with freckles and a curly ponytail looked over at me, we made eye contact for about ten seconds before I looked down, realizing I had a blush on my face.
"Unfortunately..,"Aaron replied after the pause, meeting my eyes, he seemed very wise, and with anyone else I would have been embarrassed to be caught staring. But with this new stranger, he seemed calm, approachable, and had a sense of comfort. He gave off the feeling that you could trust him.
"Friends of yours?" I asked again, not being able to get the freckled guy out of my mind.
"The one you were making googly eyes with is my roommate. He can be an asshole, him and his friends, but they're good people," Aaron said with a smirk.
"I was not making googly eyes!" I stuttered, a little annoyed.
"Don't worry, I know the feeling," He said to me again, smiling warmly.
"I. was. not. blushing." I said, saying I wanted to end the conversation here. I was not falling for him. I swear. Wasn't I?
(Author's Note: We changed some stuff, for example Alex's mother isn't dead yayayaa)
