This is unbelievable. How could he do this? The whole reason we were "dating" was because he didn't like her. But no, here I am, sitting here, being turned into her. He can't just do this to me.

I fought the urge to get up and walk away. " Um excuse me, I need to use the restroom" I said getting up.

I walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. The clothes were the only thing that looked like her at least, but still. I thought he was better than this. People don't just try to change other people, I don't care the excuse. I'll call Em and talk to her about it later. Maybe I could come over after the dinner and talk face to face. I walked out of the bathroom and took a deep breath.

" On y/n we were just ordering, do you know what you want?" Max asked, and the waiter turned to look at me.

" Oh yeah um," I said quickly scanning the menu " Uh just get me the Caesar salad" I said handing him the menu.

" No problem anything else?" The waiter asked.

" No thank you that'll be all" Ava said.

He smiled before leaving.

" So y/n how are you?" Charlotte asked.

" Oh I'm good. And sorry distracted I'm dealing with something" I said.

Max looked at me confused and I just smiled at him.

" Oh I'm sorry, what's wrong?" Charlotte asked.

I just smiled " Oh it's okay. I'll handle it but it's basically just a friend tried to..... Make me into someone I'm not" I said pausing I'm the middle to think of ways to say it.

She smiled " Well I'm sorry again"

You shrugged " So how have you been?" I asked.

" I love it here don't get me wrong, but I'm ready to go home. I've missed school, as strange as it sounds, but I have. Guess I miss having something to do" she said smiling.

"And what are you going to school for again dear?" Ava asked.

" I'm going to school to be a lawyer." She answered.

Ava smiled " That's amazing, isn't that amazing Max"

" It is uh I'm happy for you Charlotte, really I am" Max said.

She smiled " Thank you Max, means a lot"

I just sat, quite. I felt like I didn't belong. I mean if he's trying to turn me into her he might as well date her. I'm done with this. While they were all busy I grabbed my phone and texted Em. I just hope she had her phone with her. I text said " Call me in 5 minutes, say I need to come get you."

About 3 minutes later I got a response " Why what's wrong?"

" I'm at dinner with Max's parents and they don't like me. I also have a problem with him" I said back. They still hadn't really payed attention to me.

" On a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is it? She asked.

" 9, get me out of here, I can't stand him right now" I said.

" Okay, I'll start crying p, put me on speaker if needed" she answered.

I smiled. She is the best friend I could ever ask for. After about 3 minutes she called me.

" Sorry I need to take this" I said picking up.

" Em? Is everything okay?" I asked into the phone.

" I'm I don't know." She said. She really is a good actor.

" Oh my goodness, are you okay. What's wrong?" I asked getting up from the table and walking a little away. I saw them all look at me.

" I I need you to come get me, or just come here. I just don't want to be alone" she said.

" Okay give me a second. Good acting" I said.

" Thanks, I'm crying" she said.

I walked back to the table and said " Guys uh I need to go. Em, my best friend, is having a breakdown and I need to be there. Do you mind if I go?"

" No no dear go ahead" Ava said.

" Do you need me to drive you?" Max asked.

" No don't worry about it. I'll call Adam or take the bus. Stay and talk" I said.

" You sure? I don't mind" Max said again.

" I'm sure, just get a box for my salad please. Bye guys sorry again. Hold on Em I'm on my way" I said walking away.

" Did I get you out?" She asked.

" Yep thank you so much. Do you think you could come get me now?" I asked.

She laughed " Yeah where are you?"

" Um I'm at Blazing Onion" I answered walking a little away from the restaurant so they couldn't see me.

" Okay I'll be there in 15 minutes" she said.

" Great could you talk to me on the way so I don't get bored?" I asked going into a Starbucks.

She laughed again and I could hear a door closing " Yeah sure, so what's wrong?"

Time skip fifteen minutes

A few seconds after I hung up the phone I saw Em walk into the Starbucks. I waved to her and she walked over.

" So let me get this straight" she said sitting down " Max is trying to change your style?"

I nodded my head " Yeah he's dressing me like her"

" Well why don't we order our drinks and then leave so they don't see us" she said.

" Sounds good" I said standing up with her.

After we ordered our drinks we walked back to her car and we drove back to my apartment to get some clothes then back to her apartment. I'm just glad I have a friend like her to save me.

Sorry for the bad ending, and I couldn't think of a better title so yeah. Have a good day/night
