Rudra walked down the dusty road, sun gazing at his head, his face had turned scarlet due to that. But every step made his heart happier. He was back. Back to his old life, his old friends, a place which he called home and his life. With every step forward, his heart felt much more happiness.
He was happy, content and excited. He knew everyone was happy to have him back. He had strictly told them not to come to airport to receive him. It was way too far from his countryside and he did not want anyone to get bothered. Well, they would not be bothered but be glad but still.. They had already called him many times to ask what he would like to have for his lunch or why he had not reached yet. Their excitement was not hard to make out, especially his mother's. He knew she would not have slept for a couple of nights just by thinking what things should she prepare for her beloved son. He also knew that in a way, she was relieved that he was finally back, that too without any unwanted "problem".
He laughed silently at the thought. His mother still considered him to be a small, innocent boy. Hardly had she acknowledged the fact that he had grown up into a man. As per her, he was free of any kind of addiction, which, in a way, was right. But there was nothing that he had not tasted. Though a couple of years back, he could have proudly said that regarding women but now, he had got his very personal addiction whom he had left behind.
His mood altered at the thought. She had not called yet, though she had asked him to inform once he reached safely. Not to forget, the big letter that she had handed him over the very same day, which he had read again and again. It consisted of a list of "dos and don'ts", how he should take care of himself and so on. She knew he was going back to his mother and there was no reason to be worried but she could not help herself and he had no heart to tell that. She had already done a very big favor by letting him go without any emotional scene for which he was both grateful and disappointed.
He did not realize when he entered his countryside. His thoughts over her had consumed him. His train of thoughts had come to an abrupt halt when he heard the loud noise of drumroll, trumpets and rolled his eyes.
Half of the Orchestra people!!
Thank god that he had strictly instructed them not to come to the airport. Once he was at the main entrance, he could see the people with flower bouquet, garlands.
Garlands??
Really??
It seemed like as if he has won some kind of trophy.
He looked at his mother. There she stood, in front of all.
Gayatri Devi. A woman of around 45 years but her beautiful face never giving away her actual age. Instead, it shone, with happiness, eyes glinting with pride.
Her son had come back after 8 years.
Safely!
Without any evil eyes or any unnecessary troubles..
If only she knew!
Rudra hugged his mother tightly and inhaled deeply..
His mom!!
The feeling of being home again...
They separated as she patted his back and kissed his forehead with love. She put the sect mark on his forehead and led him to their home, their mansion.
"Will his mother do the same for her?" Unknowingly, his thoughts drifted in Shanaya's direction.
"No. If his mother knew who Shanaya actually was, then never!" He sighed and pushed the thought at the back of his, mind and entered his home.
