I need you
I love you
But the truth is
I'd be guilty to
Hold, cherish, and possess you
Because of all the shit
I'm going through
Darkness consumes me
Lurks behind me
Drags me down
But you can never see
What it truly does to me
How it haunts my dreams
Leaves me spiraling down
The abyss of tears and screams
The sun will still shine
Like how you shine by my side
But it can't help all the time
Clouds cover the light
No, my love's out of sight
And alone I am again
The cycle never seems to end
You have to understand
It's not that I don't love you
Or that I don't need you
But it's time for me to go
Before the dark captures you too
