"Oh my gosh. Everyone stop crying! We all knew this day was coming!" I yelled at everyone in the hospital room.

"I'm sorry Raylina, this is so unprofessional of me its just we thought you had more time. You have had your heart condition sense you were three. I just thought there was more time." Doctor Smith Sobbed.

"Look at the big picture guys we have five months to replace my heart or I'm dead. Wait... and we have to find the money." I sighed.

"Damn it Lina, stop your making me cry even more."My best friend Areal choked.

"Mom you get my shoes when i die, because yours are all ugly." That made everyone laugh.

"Hey what's wrong with my shoes?" Mom asked trying to smile.

"Clogs really mom?" Was all I had to say to make everyone laugh again.

"Why you?" Doctor Smith sniffled.

"Fate? Look I am going to go to work okay guys." I said jumping off the hospital bed. I worked at a ice cream shack on the beach. I graduated high school two weeks ago and it was currently summer. I had no plans of going college unless some how I got a heart.

I walked to he beach taking my time because my heart... no because if I walked fast I would be early. I just wanted to get out of that hospital room. I got to the beach walking into the shack and getting everything ready for the day. Kids sure do like ice cream. The day was going by pretty quickly people buying ice cream and flirting and what not. I turned on my radio and 'mean' by Taylor Swift came on. I started to sing while writing one peace of paper.

"You with your words like knifes, And swords and weapons that you use against me. You have knocked me off my feet again." I sang while nodding my head to the music. "Some day I'll be living in a big ol' city, And all you're ever going to be is mean." I sang getting a little to into the music.

"If you lived in a big city, I wouldn't be able to see you everyday when I get ice cream." a voice said making me look up.

"Don't worry I'll try to be here for as long as I can," I smiled. "What can I get for you Sir."

"Guess," he challenged.

"One scoop bubble gum, one scoop rainbow sherbet, and one scoop chocolate in a waffle bowl. And three scoops plain strawberry in a regular bole." I smirked.

"I knew you remembered me," he smiled.

"Of course how could I forget the man, with the very talkative child, where is she today?"

"Her parents are in town, so she is being forced to spend time with them." He frowned a little.

"So just the strawberry today?"

"No I just said she isn't here today I want my bubblegum ice cream," he wined.

This man was perfect. Everyday around three he would order ice cream for himself and a little girl who name was Abby she was five and that was her uncle. She never told me his name though. He was about six feet tall, light brown curly hair, green eyes. He always wore a suit, he looked no older than twenty five. Very good looking.

"You have been the highlight of my day Sir. This ice cream is on the house." I laughed handing him the ice cream looking back at my paper.
