"Oh... Okay. I would like you to leave this property still, it is still not allowed" The cop mumbled uncomfortably

"Brady, we have to go." I said under my breath, hopefully to quiet for the cop.

"What was that?" The cop replied to my comment.

"She said,'we should go, the nice cop says', Sir." Brady smiled charmingly and began to scoot up from beneath me.

"Let's go, Briar." Brady said, just a little to loud.

"Briar? That's her name... Briar, will you look at me please." The cop almost growled the comment.

"Umm, no sir." I then whispered to Brady,"Run."

I realized, then, when Brady and I were sprinting from the police, I was so tired. My feet were moving under me, but I couldn't feel them. I was thinking, deep in thought. Brady had awoken me, he had lead me out into the forest, he was the one that approached me at the party.

He led me away from where the cops originated.

I knew it wasn't a coincidence. I don't just fall in love with somebody in less than twenty-four hours.

He was special... to special to be with me. He would die if he stayed with me. I would end up getting him killed.

"Brady!" I yelled, exasperated from my lack of sleep.

"I-I'm running Briar!" He gasped, out of breath from... trying to keep up with me.

I'm faster than him, I'm used to navigating through brush and trees.

I slowed down, and then saw a bush, large enough to conceal me and Brady. I stopped and grabbed a confused Brady's arm.

"What are you doing? We'll get caught!" He whispered.

I crouched and began to explain my thoughts,"You have to leave me. You will die if you stay with me. I'm not safe, a lot of people want me dead."

I was speaking fast, trying to save time.

His face was contorted into pain, and then realization.

"No. I... I can't. I've never felt what you make me feel... I can't leave you Briar. I want to die with you."

I looked at him, surprised. No, admiringly... But I can't let him ever die for me.

"Stay here Brady. I'll lead them away." I began to get up, but he stopped me.

"Think Briar, if I stay here, they'll know that I was with you and come for me. So I could run away alone or I could run with you, and what I've come to know is that you know information that they don't want you to know. You haven't done anything that will make me leave. Hell, you've done more to make me want to stay. and that's what I'm doing." He said.

I crashed my lips into his again, this time I didn't have the choice but to do it. He kissed me back, sweeter than before. I laid on the ground, aware this time of the sounds that I was making and doing my best to muffle them, I hated autumn leaves. Brady put his hand on the ground next to my head and his other on my waist. He then paused, and whispered again.

"We have to run, I know where an old treehouse is." And then his lips were on mine again.

I agreed with him, but I didn't say anything. I wanted to keep his lips on mine as long as I could.
