These small, harmless creatures look most like monkeys, with pitch black eyes and something generally off about them. They have evolved to look fairly repulsive, and make buzzing sounds for communication.
Size: quite small, they range from 6 to 8 inches in height.
Diet: Anything they can find. If a creature dies and isn't taken by something larger, Taygens will eat as much as they can until disturbed. That doesn't often happen, so their diet mainly consists of fruit, berries, nuts, and eggs if they're lucky.
Habitat: forests which are a neutral temperature during the day, and are away from large civilisation.
Predators: Everything.
