"Hey." I kissed Mark.
"Hi." He said softly.
Dad looked like he was going to cry.
"Dad, are you okay?" I asked.
"Sean, we have some news." Dad told me.
"Okay?" I sat up.
"You have stage two lung cancer." Dad said.
"No I don't." I chuckled.
"Some people react differently. Take your time." Doctor Addison said.
"You're serious?" I asked slowly.
"You'll be okay." Mark promised.
"Cancer." I repeated.
"Sean, we're going to get you treatment." Dad said.
"I'm sick." I looked at Mark.
"I'll make sure you're okay." He promised.
For some reason, the news didn't bother me in the slightest. It seemed to effect Dad and Mark more than anyone.
"I know." I smiled.
He had tears in his eyes.
"Don't cry." I kissed him.
