eloise alexandra elliot-smith and rosie millicent nunn.
well, their names sounded nice together. like a perfect fit, right? if you said yes, you'd be correct! they do. and they're a perfect fit together in real life, too.
despite eloise being the sort-of-bossy-but-really-sweet bookworm who actually likes public speaking and is very involved in everything and rosie being the loud, fiesta, short cutie who needs to calm but in a funny sort of way, they were best friends and partners in crime. if you considered crime to be staying up until 2 am watching movies together via skype and generally being superb besties, that is.
anywho, let's travel to april 2017, to a city close to toronto, ontario, but still far enough away to have their own ohl team, to a highschool with a giant-ass football field where tryouts for they guy's team were being held.
"YEAH! RUN OR WHATEVER." eloise yelled to jack, who was their friend indeed trying out. eloise had indeed come to support her friend, but still didn't know anything about football. she knew it involved kicking the ball for the start and then throwing it through the yellow pitchforks but she didn't know any rules, or tactics, or team names.
she clapped a bit before half-turning to rosie, who was there supporting jack and her own boyfriend shawn. rosie and shawn were disgustingly in love, but everyone in their friend circle shipped it, so it was socially acceptable.
jack smiled up at eloise before she began to talk to sky.
"oh my gosh, guess what? i forgot to tell you that the sale at lush was extended. we need to go today because we haven't been to the mall in ages and i need lushy bathy stuff." eloise told the shorter girl, hair blowing gently in the late april breeze. "bath stuff eh? for you and jack?" rosie joked, shoving eloise lightly with her shoulder and grinning.
well, i suppose i should mention that everyone shipped jack and eloise. like, actually everyone. not kidding. and it annoyed el.
it was a bit odd but funny, truthfully. and annoying.
"oh, shut up." eloise blushed a bit and smiled at the blonde haired girl.
"JACK, YOUR GIRLY FRIEND IS BLUSHING." rosie stood up, cupped her hand over her mouth and shouted from the benches.
"ohmygoshactuallyshutup seriously rose!" eloise blushed even more when jack looked over to her, amused.
rosie sat down, satisfied, and leaned back. "i ship jackoise, dude. everyone does. just make out already." rose said, raising her eyebrows. "not going to happen, dreamer. keep on wishing." eloise responded, shaking her head.
