Something Isn't Right...[being Published]

Chapter 1

My day started of pretty well. I mean, who wouldn't love sweating over maths at 7:30? Oh I know...

Me!

I hate mathematics.  Mom says it's because I'm always negetive about it. Well I can't help it! I see nothing positive about math. It's filled with lots of numbers ( and yes I know what you're thinking, math is about numbers)alphabets and many other unnecessary things that make the poor white paper look hideous.

Anyway during some periods I was just taking tiny breaks from the books. I wasn't studying alone though, Rose was with me.

Rose has been my best friend since kindergarten.  It all started with a fight over a piece of gum. Aaah, good times. During my math break, Rose and I headed towards the restroom, just to pamper ourselves a bit.

"Stacy you better not spill my foundation this time or else" Rose spoke up while putting on mascara.  "Or else what?". I shot back at her. "Or else I will cut your cheeks and feed them to the dogs" I just laughed.  Rose's threats are lame. Just funny but not scary at all. "What's funny?" She said with a 'are you serious' look. That made me laugh even more. "You-might-as-well-take-my-tounge-as-well" I said between laughs. She playfully rolled her eyes and went back to doing her makeup.

Rose has got blonde hair and it flows all the way to her waist, her skin is as soft as winters snow, has got a perfect Victoria secret model body, a little short and she has got thee most amazing green emerald eyes. She can even afford thee most expensive clothes ever. Her dad owns so many companies, even starbucks. With of course the lovely wife. Starbucks is amazing. I love the coffee there. I drink it every day. Also because its 3 blocks away from my house. Rose also has guys here and there falling for her(I don't care about that. Guys are just...barf) I hate boys. It's like I'm a pranking toy to them . Every guy in my class has pranked me before. For instance, Jonathan once poured fresh gooey bubblegum on my head. I went home red as a tomato that day. Oh and one time Liam pushed me into a barrel of rotten fish from the cafeteria.  I reeked fish all week. " Only a few minutes left til the test starts" Rose told me as we walked out of the restroom.

We got in class and we sat at our seats. I sit at the back as Rose sits in front at Mr Martins class. " Okay the test end at 14:00. You may start. Good luck and remember this test is gonna count at the end of the year" Mr Martin assured us.
Okay let the sweating games begin.

"Mommy I'm home" I shouted as I opened the door.  I was welcomed by complete silence. "Mom" I shouted again. Huh I guess I got the house to myself. I closed the door and made my way upstairs. I entered my bedroom and I saw an envelope on my bed. I swiftly jumped on my bed, justin beiber style. I took the envelope and saw the words 'From mom'. I sat on my desk and casually opened the letter. "My baby blah blah blah I will be back on monday blah blah blah. All I'm hearing is I'm all alone and it's friday. Mom won't be back until monday. So...

Sleepover!

I haven't had a sleepover in ages. Even though it's just me and Rose. I love our little sleepovers. I wonder what made mom  stay away for the weekend. Mhh i wonder if it had anything to do with a man. But hey, who am I to judge? A knock came from downstairs and i knew it wasn't  Rose. Rose never knocks. I bounce of my bed and run downstairs. "Coming" I yell. I open the door to a stranger.

"Hi. Sorry to drop in announced. I'm new in this neighbourhood and I'm kinda lonely.  Mom said there's a lovely girl next door, so I'm here to introduce myself." The stranger said in one breath. Huh I guess she's nervous. "Uhm hi. Come inside " I gestured her in. We sat down in front of the TV.
"Drink?" She nodded. I stood up and got some juice in the kitchen.

"Well I'm Alice. I'm from New York but my mom got a job here last year but she just invited me here now so... yeah" she spoke up. "Oh Alice in wonderland. I sure won't forget that name" we both chuckled.  "Well I'm Stacy. I've lived here for like forever. I go to New minds academy." I introduced myself. "Oh that's where I'm going.  I start tomorrow." She squealed. "That's good" I don'tknow why but I forced a smile. This girl had better not have any weird things. The door opened and Rose came in. "BEST FRIEND IN THE HOUSE " Rose shouted.  Damn this girl is loud! "Oh sorry I didn't know you had company" Rose apologised.  "Rose this is Alice but not from wonderland" Rose giggled. "And Alice this is Rose. But she's more like a thorn" Rose scrunced up her face. Alice and I laughed at her. "I know I'm the most awesome thorn ever!!" Rose folded her arms and sat next to me. "Why are you wearing shades in the house?" Rose asked Alice. She shrugged.  "I don't know. But I was told to never take them off". Rose and I looked at each other.  Ah well.

We chatted and got to know each other for 3 hours.  Alice has been a little weird now and then.
"Okay guys i should get going" Rose stood up. "I'll be here tomorrow for the sleepover. Would Alice want to come?"Rose asked. "I'll ask my mom first but okay" She responded.  "Okay bye guys"I said.
The both left.

I changed into my snuggly pyjamas. I sat on my bed and took my laptop.  I flicked some movies on Netflix. "Urgh nothing is interesting " I thought out loud.  I put my laptop aside and laid on my back. I thought about Alice.  I'm really curious about those shades. I hope she doesn't wear them tomorrow. 

I drifted off to sleep.
