Chapter Two : Always Return

Rodney decided he won't bring a suitcase because he will just be returning the next day.  He remained standing next to the sign for the train. He turned once he heard the familiar voices of his friends.  Piper and Crank stood side by side, even almost hand and hand.
Rodney ignored it, Piper had a crush on him since the day he came to Robot City.  Fender hugged Rodney in a brotherly hug.
"Tomorrow afternoon right?"  Fender looked at his friend, breaking the hug.
"Yes Fender", Rodney rolled his eyes playfully, "I promise."
"I'll see you tomorrow then", Fender hugged him again.
Rodney lifted his head up as soon as he saw a shadow, then again to see Cappy with a small black leather jacket. Her hair was pinned up, Rodney always like it better when it was down. He let go of Fender to get to Cappy.
In front of her, he finally could stare into her gorgeous green-emerald eyes but guilt clouded his own.  Cappy must have saw it, because her smiling lips became a frown. 
"Whats wrong Rodney?" Her voice was very soft, almost making him melt.
"I am so sorry what I said back there Cappy", Rodney shook his head.  "I had no right to say that and you're  right. I don't know you."
"No..." this time, Cappy shook her head. "You know me better than any bot has ever had actually. I shouldn't have went off on you like that."
"Nah, I actually deserved it for not listening. I'm a bad boyfriend huh?"
"No, am I a bad girlfriend?"
"Deifienlty not."
Rodney and Cappy hugged eachother in a very strong bond, never wanting to let go. The train chugged right beside them and metal clanked as it stopped.
"Train for Rivet Town will leave in three minutes."
They broke the hug but Cappy dared not to let go.
"Tomo-"
"Tomorrow afternoon?" Rodney finished. "I promise."
"Two minutes!"
This goodbye was painful for Rodney, same with Cappy, even thought he was only going to be gone for one day.
Is this true love? Rodney thought. Is this why it's so hard to leave?
"Call me once you get there, okay?" Cappy began to touch his cheek but Rodney held it, right in his warm palm.
"I will." Rodney replied. "Can I call you once I get on the train tomorrow?"
"Please?"
Cappy gave Rodney a quick kiss on the cheek, making his cheek as red as a berry.  He wanted more but...
"One more minute!"
Rodney let go of Cappy's hand and quickly hopped in train. It began to chug and lifted off from the ground slowly as white smoke rose.
"I'll be home soon", Rodney hollered from out of the door. "I promise, Cappy. I won't let you down."
Rodney then closed the door and sat down to watch the shrinking views of his friends as the train rose.
"I know you will", Cappy whispered to herself as she placed her hand on her hearth, feeling it race for him to come home.
