~Chapter 1~

"Chat Noir! Watch out!"

But Ladybug was too late. Stormy Weather slid the ring off his finger in one swift movement. Chat fell to his knees, face buried in his hands. He couldn't let his love know who he truly was. Plagg fell to the ground in front of the poor blonde.

"Ha! I've won!"

"Give that back!"

"Not so fast, Ladybug! I'm gonna give this to Hawkmoth! I'll be back for yours soon enough!"

Stormy Weather flew off into the clouds, vanishing.

"Chat Noir I'll get your miraculous back I swear!"

"Wait... before you go... c-come here..."

   Ladybug sat on the ground in front of the boy.

   "Chat... you... you can't be serious..."

   "I want you to know who I am... who I really am..."

   The blonde removed his hands from his face and looked up at the heroine.

   "A-Adrien!? Oh my gosh you're Adrien!?"

   "You sound familiar now that I think about it..."

   "You were right... that one time at the tv station and you wondered if we know each other in real life... Y-you do know me in real life... at least I hope you know me... look, soon as I get your miraculous back I'll give it to you. And... I'll show you who I really am..."

   Adrien's eyes sparkled.

   "Bug out!"

   Ladybug swung her yoyo and followed in pursuit of Stormy Weather.

   "Plagg this is gonna be great! I'm gonna get to know who my crush really is!"

   Plagg floated up to the smiling boy's face.

   "You let an akumatized villain take your miraculous! She's taking it right to Hawkmoth! How can you be celebrating at a time like this?!"

   Adrien's smile dropped. The happiness in his eyes gone.

   "L-Ladybug said she'll get it back!"

   "Master Fang may not let you keep it! You let Hawkmoth have the power of destruction! Why should you be allowed to keep your powers!?"

   Adrien had always thought his kwami would be the one who would never yell at him. The one who would never hurt him. But he was wrong. So, so wrong.

"P-Plagg..."

Rain fell from the clouds and to the dimmed streets of Paris below. A news reporter and cameraman rushed through the door leading onto the roof.

"Is it true! Is it true that a villain has taken Chat Noir's powers?" the news reporter inquired.

"Y-yes he's gone with Ladybug to retrieve them."

The reporter then realized who she was talking to while the live broadcast was being filmed.

"Mr. Agreste what are you doing out here? You should be home, where it's safe."

"Ladybug told me to wait here for her. So I will."

   "You saw Ladybug? Mr. Agreste what conversation did you have with the hero of Paris if any?"

   'The hero of Paris?' The blond thought to himself. 'Aren't I a hero of Paris too? Not just Ladybug?'

   "No more questions, please."

   It took a lot for the young boy to not break down crying. Everything had come crashing down in just five minutes.

   But it was about to get a lot worse.
