You wake up in a cold room, your hands still cuffed together.
It was decorated nicely, the walls a perfect cream trimmed with golden panels.
Everything in the room was decaying, the walls, the roof - even the floor was caving in at some parts.
Shoreline boxes littered the room, covered with maps and ammunition.
Strapped to a chair a few feet away from you is Sam, asleep from the chloroform they dosed him with.
You sigh and wiggle your wrists tied down to the arms, then your ankles tied together.
A tuft of hair falls in front of your face as you do, getting in the way. You look up to it and try to blow it away, but it lands right where it was, brushing your nose. A shuffle comes from across the room, then a sigh.

"You're so cute when your hair gets in your face."

Sam's voice was groggy and strained, but still working.
You look up at him, giving him a glare.

"Leave me alone."

You say.
Sam's face changes from loving to ashamed.

"(Y/N).."

He says quietly.
You ignore him, still struggling with your binds.

"(Y/N), please.."

He became louder.
You brush off how he was trying to get your attention and kept fooling around with your restraints. Theres no way you wanted to be here all tied up like this, sitting across from your traitorous boyfriend.

"(Y/N), Listen to me!"

He says, firmly.
Your head snaps to his direction.
He was leaning forwards in his chair, his eyes begging for mercy.

"I didn't mean to."

He said to you.

"Thats what they all say."

You say, still pissed at him.

"Please.. just.. hear me out."

He says, begging for forgiveness.
You sit up in your chair and sigh, rolling your eyes.
He leans even more forwards in his chair, trying to get closer to you.

"Rafe offered me freedom for a price. He let me out of prison so i could help him find the treasure and not help Nate."

He said.
You lowered your eyebrows.

"Sam.. just.. stop. Ive already heard that! Tell me why you did it."

You say, fighting back tears.

"I didn't have a choice. Its was either stay in Jail and rot for more years with nothing but my thoughts, or help Rafe.."

He says, getting a little bit quieter as he spoke. You shuffle around in your seat, not paying attention to what he was saying.

"..and get to see the love of my life again.."

He says, his strong, hazel eyes now sad and feeble, and begging for remorse.
You look up to him, realizing what you were doing.
Really? You're acting like a dick in front of your boyfriend who is trying to apologize to you? Act mature for once.

"I wanted to yell you.. I really did.. but I was so worried about it.. and I wanted to keep you safe."

He said, closing his eyes and leaning back, his thick eyebrows slanted.
You look down, sighing a little.

"(Y/N).."

He stammered, looking up at you from his seat.

"(Y/N), please say something.."

He says, leaning forward a little.
You look to him, choking back your tears. You take a deep breath in.

"I can't believe it.."

You say, quiet.
His eyebrows are still slanted upwards, his eyes worried.
The room fell silent, Sam waiting for you to say something.

"Im.. the love of your life..?"

You finally sputter, looking up at him once more, your eyes curious.
A trace of his warm smile appeared,  barely visible on his worried face, like a gleam of hope.

"Yeah.. you really are.."

He says, looking to you.

"I remember those times when we jumped across rooftops, being little pirates... i remember that time that i taught you to smoke - that was a funny time."

He says.
You smile a little.

"I remember that time when you taught me to grapple and rope things.."

You chuckle a little, but it was quiet.
His smile widens a little.

"Yeah.. those were the good old days.."

He says.
You look to him, your favourite memory coming back into your mind.

"I remember the time that we kissed on my rooftop.."

You say, sighing a little.
He smiled a little.

"I remember that too.."

He said.

"That was one of my favourite memories of me and you."

He sighs, looking at you.
You can tell he's speaking the truth. The look in his eye says so.

"I remember you told me that you loved me."

You say, quiet.
He smiles a little.

"I remember that too."

He says, looking to you, his eyes changing to full of love and wonder.

"I still do love you, you know that, right?"

You keep your eyes locked with his.

"Yeah. I love you too."

You say, a smile appearing on your face.
His smile widens and he sighs.

"Man, i wish i could kiss you right now."

He says, resting his head on the back of his chair.
You laugh a little, looking down at your shoes.

"Im glad we worked this out."

You say.
He brings his head up again to look at you.

"Me too, sweetheart."
