"Wake up T." Vince said. He was taking me to school today because Tamar was in Atlanta checking on grandma. She has to go to the hospital on Monday.
I got up and did my routine. Today I didnt feel like dressing up so I put on something comfortable.

When I was done I put my hair in a messy bun and grabbed my back pack. I walked down stairs and went to the kitchen.
"You hungry?" Vince asked.
"Not really."
"Do you want any snacks for school. We can go to the store if you want."
"No thanks I'm good."
He sat down next to me.
"Whats wrong. You havent been happy since Tamar left."
"I mean I miss her but its not that."
"Is someome bothering you st school. Because if someone is I'll-"
"No Vince. No one is bullying me. Its my dad."
"What about him?"
"His birthday is coming up."
"When is it?"
"The 14th."
"What do you wanna do?"
"I dont know. I have school that day."
"How about we fly to Atlanta this weekend and you visit his grave with your family."
"Ok."
"Now lets go before you are late and your mother kills me."
I laughed and walked to the car. On the way there we stopped at the store and got snacks for me. Then he dropped me off.
"Ill be here at 2:20 to get you."
"Ok. Bye."

I walked away and went to my locker. I got my binder and went to class. Diezel was already here.
"Hey Diezel."
He just waved back. Normally he would be energetic and cheerful but today was different.
"Whats wrong?"
He sighed. "I cant go to Atlanta this weekend and visit grandma. My dad wants to take me and Denim for the weekend but I dont want to go."
"Have you told Auntie Toni?"
"She told me I had to go. She said its been a while since I stayed with him and it would be good for me to go."
"I wanted you to come. Im going and it will be boring with just me there."
