"Okay fine"
" DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK"
"Well maybe if you weren't a cheater I WOULDN'T!"
"Mark it just a game for gods sake and he's your son"
"Jack stay out of this, you don't understand, heck you couldn't even make the first shot!"
"What?! I made it the first time!"
"But did you really?"
Dad gave jack a questioning look.
"Don't look at me like that!"
"See daddy!, see how annoying it is!"
I giggled as sam pointed at dad.
His hair was a mess and filled with leafs and tiny sticks.
A little of dried mud was smeared on his calf as well as almost all of his clothes.
In one hand he held a long stick and in the other  he held a rock.
I sat on a log refused to join what ever mess of a game they were playing. Daddy who also had sat quietly beside me, observing now was standing and charging head first towards dad.
"No! Wait!"
"Dad! Dad! the big tree!"
"Mark come back here!"
They chased each other through the long grass that scratched at their ankles.
"Tim! Come help us!"
"Nah!"I replied smirking.
"You'll have to pick a side eventually!"
Sam yelled pointing a stick in my direction.
"And dad never loses!"
"Oh really"  daddy stopped chasing dad abruptly "what about vanish"
"You did not just go there!"
"I believe I did"
"After him" Sam yelled waving the fragile thin stick above him in a circular motion while making loud and clear war cries.
"Sam that is dangerous!" I hear daddy yell before they disappeared into the forest.
Sighing I pulled out a book from my bag.
Never really read much, unless I was really intrigued by it, but I had to for English.
Which I didn't mind I liked this book.
But what I didn't like was the fact I had to take notes on every chapter. And I was a lazy one.
I opened it to chapter  five and began to read. The silence and random bursts of crickets and water made a pleasant atmosphere as I sucked in the words and a movie began to unravel in my head.
"Its quite a good book I hear"
Startled from the sudden voice I shrieked dropping my book onto my feet.
"Sorry there didn't mean to startle ya"
"What do you want?"
"Geesh no need to be rude I was just curious on what you were up to"
"Well I was reading happy?"
"Mhmm not really would you come with me for a second?"
"Uh no thanks"
"Com'on please its a great place I promise!"
"Well its just that I think my parents would prefer-"
"Let's go!"
Before I could refuse he grabbed ahold of my wrist with a tight grip.
"Wait!"
"On our way we go"
"Wait where are we going!"
"The waterfalls of Aorlock!"
"The what?"
"You'll see! "
"But I don't want to see them and why are we running?"
"To get there faster!"
"Wait Ethan!"
I tried to catch up to him my breath getting harder to catch.
"How far are they? god I'm tired"
"Right around the corner!"
My feet began to become sluggish as I finally reached the edge of the forest and at the cliff Ethan came to an abrupt stop. Tired and unable to stop quickly enough I bumped into Ethan.
"See!" I followed his fingers to a waterfall that was thick and small but was beautiful.
Its clean blues glistening in the sun.It fell sliently flowing into the water below Then being seeped up by the beautiful white flower around the edge of it.
"I just........whoa"
"Pretty ain't it?"
"Yeah it is"
"Just like you"
Shocked at his statement I stared at him.
"Sorry what did you say?"
He stared back at me with his wide blue eyes.
And a comfortable silence blanketed us as we just gazed at each other over the reflecting glow of the water.
