After a quick explanation from Bree and Conner to Emerelda and the rest of The Fairy Council, Emerelda snapped her fingers and The Fairy Council disappeared from the room.

Bree stared at Emerelda in surprise. She couldn't help but worry-where had they gone? "Um-where did they just go,"

Emerelda burst out with laughter. "Don't worry, they're okay," she explained. "I wanted to be alone with you two so I can inform you about what we were talking about before we arrived."

Bree glanced at Conner, and incredulous look on her face. He shrugged, his eyes saying he didn't know anything that Emerelda was about to say. "What's going on?" Bree asked. "Is it anything bad?"

Emerelda had a pained look on her face, but she shook her head nonetheless. "It's not as big as Alex's disappearance, but it's quite big. It actually entwines with Alex. Lester, Mother Goose's darling gander, has also disappeared from the palace's stables. He's been living safely there with all the unicorn and other geese. Apparently Cornelius has also parted from the stables. We suspected that Alex or you two had come to collect them, for some odd reason we couldn't comprehend, but now that we've heard of Alex's disappearance we now doubt that theory."

Conner sighed and put his hands in the pockets in his jeans. "I wish I could tell you that we took Lester and Cornelius, but I haven't seen those two in years. Unless, Bree, did you take them?" he turned to his girlfriend.

Bree frowned and shrugged. "No, I'm assuming Alex took them. Who else would want Lester and Cornelius other than Alex? They were both given to her. They're her pets, anyways! Wait-unless it was Mother Goose, have you seen her since she went off with Merlin?" Bree turned to Emerelda for answers.

"I haven't, no one has," she declined.

"Okay," Conner responded. "Could we stay here for the time being? We have nowhere else to go."

Emerelda nodded and smiled. "Of course," she said. "You're always welcome here."

The next morning, early at 9:00, Emerelda knocked on Bree's bedroom door. The night before, she had set up Bree and Conner in different bedrooms in the same hallway.

Bree groaned, and dragged herself out of bed. She yawned and glanced at the grand mirror in her room. It was decorated with flower petals around it, as if the mirror was the middle of the flower. Bree shrieked. Her blonde hair was messy with dozens of knots. Maybe she should have listened to Emerelda and gotten the special treatment before bed...Bree quickly opened the door to the smiling face of The Green Fairy.

She grasped a decent amount of invitations in her hands, smiling brightly when Bree noticed them. "Since Conner was still asleep-that lazy thing," she rolled her eyes teasingly.

Bree glared at the leader of The Fairy Council. "I was still sleeping too, says the hair," she pointed to her head in disgust.

Emerelda shrugged. "Well you actually came to the door when I knocked. Satisfied?" she gave Bree a knowing look.

Bree shook her head. "Not at all," she said, but it was more like a mutter. "Not at all,"

"I was wondering if you'd help me create and deliver all these letters to the leaders of The Happily Forever After Assembly."

They quickly got to work. Emerelda handed Bree some pieces of paper and a big parchment that read; dear ___________, you are invited to spend some time at The Fairy Palace. We have just heard of the disappearance of Alexandra Bailey, one of the greatest fairies alive. We suspect she has taken the darling gander Lester, and the charming unicorn Cornelius, as they are no longer in our stables' care. If you could get here in the next few hours, it would help immensely with the progress of The Happily Forever After Assembly. She is our leader, and she is gone. Sincerely, Emerelda and The Fairy Council.

Bree spent the next hours printing down the letters with the best cursive handwriting she could possibly muster.

Once Conner had officially awoken and had now joined the girls' in Bree's bedroom, the two of them were finally finished with their morning job.

"Oh, darling Conner!" Bree batted her eyelashes teasingly.

Conner rolled his eyes sleepily and trekked towards his girlfriend, kissing her on the head. "Yes?"

"Be a dear and go fetch two magical geese from the stables. Don't get normal geese, magical. They can travel at light speed!" Bree hummed, patting down the stack of envelopes she had in her presence. "We need to travel throughout the kingdoms and deliver these letters."

Conner groaned, suddenly alert. "No way! I just woke up! Can't a guy catch a break?" he rubbed his eyes, his allergies getting the best of him.

"Oh please," Bree said, rolling her eyes in annoyance. "Emerelda and I have been working on these for hours! Come on, it'll be fun." She tried to persuade him. She definitely didn't want to go, she was tired enough.

Conner suppressed a smile. "Okay," he sped off.

Bree met Conner in the stables after fetching two messenger bags for her and her partner. It was the smart thing to do, they didn't want to have all their geese and all their invitations but nothing to but all the stacks of paper in.

"I'm not sure which geese I should pick," Conner said, scratching his head as he stared at all the geese. They were wandering about, in a field of flowers, where fairy guards were circling around. "Should I pick Larry? Or Emma? Or Dailey? Or Jamie, Alyssa, Eva, Melody, Cecelia, Emma, Poppy, Lucas, Reid, Tristan? I'm stuck on this, and I have no clue!"

Bree chuckled. "How about I pick?" she suggested.

Conner smiled. "Of course, my dear," he teased.

Bree rolled her eyes and scanned over the field of geese. She immediately liked Cecelia, who had a small straw hat on her head and a yellow ribbon tied around her neck to secure it together. Bree instantly knew Cecelia would be hers. For Conner, she picked Tristan. He had a red baseball bat on, and it looked adorable! He squawked, as did Cecelia, as Bree took them by their leads and trudged towards Conner.

"Alright," Bree started. "I picked Cecelia for myself and Tristan for you. Isn't he adorable?" she asked Conner, who was now petting Tristan on the tummy and gushing over the fact that his baseball cap said The Yankees.

Cecelia knelt down and Bree hopped on, Conner realized and did the same. Bree tossed his messenger bag and Conner's posture immediately dropped and he slouched. It was definitely heavy!

Soon they were in the sky, flying over The Fairy Palace and before they knew it it was only a speck in the distance. They were silent for the first few minutes of their flight.

"We should go to The Troblin Territory first," Bree said, eyeing Conner.

Conner groaned. "I still have horrible memories of that place!" he was half joking and half not.

Bree grinned, and reached over to touch Conner's arm. "Hey, Trollbella isn't that bad,"

Conner nodded, his happiness seeming to fade a little, also his attention.

"Are you okay?" Bree asked him, suddenly worried. What was going on in that mind of his, she didn't know.

Conner nodded again. "Yeah..." he trailed off, staring off into the distance.

Bree didn't fully believe him, but decided to let it drop. She didn't want him to get annoyed and for them to split up routes. She just hoped everything was alright.

They were silent the rest of the way throughout The Land of Stories.
