My heart raced mimicking my mind. From the corner of my eye I could see him. The boy I loved was sitting beside me. His arm touched mine, we both were leaning quite close. Gazing at his hand, my anxiety rose as the thought of holding it overcame me. He noticed my staring and turned to look into my eyes. His eyes. I was looking into warm, melting caramel. Scanning his face I saw no flaws, regardless of his teeth which were crooked and his lanky body of which my friends judged mercilessly. I adored the spat of freckles high on his cheeks and his long hair which again my friends disapproved. He looked to our hands, so close they were. He took my hand in his. I had never felt so warm.
