Tamato Part 2 (Moana's POV)

Maui's face became unreadable as he turned his shoulder away from the cave. As if he was trying to block me from its view. 

"Tamato? The shiny crab?" Kai asked.

"Yeah..." I said.

I wished we would never had come back here... 

"Thats... So cool!" Kai said headi towards the cave.

"Kai, what are you doing?" Maui asked.

"Duh! I'm gonna go see Tamato! Dude that crab is a legend!" He said entering the cave.

Maui helped me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck. 

"Come on!" I said.

I tried to walk on my own but stumbled forwarded and just when I was about to hit my head, Maui caught me in his arms.

"Woah their queeny. You can't walk on your own yet." Maui said scooping me up in his arms bridal style. 

I blushed slightly. 

"Maui. Put me down. I can walk on my own." I said.

"From what I saw, you can't walk on your own, and I don't want to risk you hurti yourself more." He said as he followed Kai.

He gently  placed me down behind the wall on the outside of Tamatoas lair.

"Stay here." He said.

I grabbed his arm.

"No." I said.

"Moana. Please." He said 

"Maui. We both know your not going to win." I said crossing my arms.

"Moana!" He said grabbing my shoulders.

I felt my face go slack. My face heated up. His face has never been this close to mine. It made my heart beat like crazy.

"Please. Stay here." He said removing a hair that had fallen over my eyes.

I blushed even harder. Then he stood up and walked away. I felt as if my heart had cracked. What did I do? 

Moana! Get it together! You didn't do anything! He's just going to get Kai... Right? I asked my self.

"Well, well, well, little Maui is back from the surface? Where's that mortal girl? I could use a little snack."  I heard Tamatoa say. 

I could hear the sound of Maui drawing his hook.

"She isn't here. Now, where is the boy?" He asked.

"Oh. The boy? You mean, the one in that cage over there?" Tamato asked.

I peeked around the corner. I gasped softly. Kai was laying in the cage that Tamato had put me in the last time we were here.... Unconscious.

"Let him go Tamato." Maui said.

Tamato had Kai in his hands. 

"OK." He said. 

He opened his mouth and held Kai above it.

"NO! STOP!" I screamed as  I ran next to Maui.

"Moana! What are you doing?!?" Maui asked me.

"Tamato! Stop! Leave him alone!" I screamed.

"Well Maui, so you lied. Your little girlfriend is here! Now I can tear two mortals apart!" Tamato said.
