twenty seven.

One of the workers went around, helping to tighten the belts and make sure that the bar was pulled down all the way and locked in place. The last thing that was needed was for there to be an accident and for someone to get injured while being on the ride. That day was meant for fun and relaxation - went they got to the waterpark area, at least.

“All clear!” The worker behind the machine that started the ride yelled, letting the riders know the ride was going to start. The group all let out cheers as the ride began moving; their first rollercoaster ride of the day just starting up.

Taehyung looked up at Jungkook, a wide and excited smile plastered on the blonde’s lips. “Are you excited, Jungkookie?” The blonde asked as he grasped onto one of the brunette’s hands. The brunette grinned widely back down at the blonde, his head nodding in agreement with the elder’s statement. He was beyond excited for their day full of adventure to start.

The cart slowly moved up the first hill, the clicking and clanking sounds of the gears moving together being the only thing the group could hear - besides their excited cheers. As the cart slowly approached the very tip of the first hill, Jungkook lifted his hands in the air, Taehyung doing the same. The couple held tightly onto the other’s hand as they slowly tipped forward in the ride, the cart zooming down the first hill shortly afterwards.

Jungkook couldn’t help but look over at the blonde as they were going down the ride. Taehyung’s eyes seem to be half-lidded as he let out yells and screams of joy. The brunette’s smile only widened at the sight of his boyfriend like that before turning his attention back in front of him as the ride continued on.

The rest of the ride was full of large hills, twists and turns that made the experience on the ride all the better - not to mention how tightly the blonde was squeezing onto the brunette’s hand. That was probably Jungkook’s favorite part of the entire ride; how tightly Taehyung held onto his hand and how the blonde never seemed to want to let go.

As the ride came to a finish, the cart pulled back into the station, the cheers of excitement from the group being the only thing the workers were greeted with. One of the worker’s, a girl, seemed to keep a wide smile on her face at the group and their reactions towards the ride. Never in her few years of working there, had the girl witnessed a group of people so excited to get on a single rollercoaster.

The worker went around unlocking the belts and the lever for the riders, stopping as she approached the brunette and blonde - since she started off in the back. “I’ve never witnessed a couple so excited for a rollercoaster,” the lady laughed as she put the key into the hole, unlocking the cart. “You two are cute, by the way. Enjoy the rest of your day here.”

Both blushing messes, the couple nodded at the kind lady before making their way down the stairs for the exit of the ride. Jungkook held tightly onto Taehyung’s hand as they made their way down the stairs, the darkened crimson color not seeming to fade from the brunette’s cheeks. He wasn’t expecting the worker to be so kindhearted with their relationship and towards them, in general.

As the group exited the stairs, Jungkook spotted a head of red and orange hair waiting by a fence. The closer the brunette got to the duo; he noticed that the redhead was smiling widely at the ginger, as she held something tightly in her arms. Hoseok was holding onto something as well, along with a giant bag of cotton candy. The two were smiling at each other, not noticing the rest of the group had approached them.

“I thought you two were going off on your own?” Jungkook asked, startling the two and causing them to break their eye contact. The brunette glanced down at the redhead’s arms, noticing she was holding a giant stuffed cat tightly to her chest. Then his gaze went to the ginger, who was holding a small teddy bear in one hand and the bag of cotton candy in the other. “Where’d you get your cat by the way, Kaesi?”

The redhead’s cheeks seem to light up to a rosy shade at the brunette questions. The girl buried her face into the back of the stuffed kitten’s head, mumbling out a few words. “Hoseok won it for me,” Kaesi mumbled, although the group was able to understand what she was saying. Mainly due to the fact that the group had already assumed that Hoseok won her the stuffed animal.

“What about you, Hoseok hyung?” Jungkook turned his attention to the ginger, whose cheeks were also a very light rosy shade. Although, the brunette and the rest of the group were pretty much sure they knew the right answer.

Hoseok only smiled widely at the group, acting the complete opposite as the girl had done. “Kaesi won it for me. She said she wanted to get me a bigger bear but she was only able to get a small one, though,” the ginger showed the reddish looking bear to the rest of the group. “It kind of reminds me of Kaesi’s hair so I named it KaeMini.”

The girl’s cheeks turned into a darker shade of crimson, causing her to bury her face deeper into the back of the stuffed kitten’s head. The entire group seemed to smile at the sight, all except the redhead who was too busy being a blushing mess. Hoseok, however, was clueless as to why the girl was hiding her face like that.

To turn the attention off of the blushing and embarrassed redhead, Jungkook spoke. “Let’s go find another ride the, yeah?” The brunette suggested to the rest of the group, all nodding their heads in agreement.

Thus, the group continued on with their exciting amusement park day.

+ note ; this is lowkey trash but that’s okay !! not really but next chapter will probably be a bit short, since it has to deal with a few things that happen after the amusement park day. it’ll be focused at night

next chapter includes the cat hobi that takes a big part in this story,, you'll understand why next chapter.

also im sorry if you dislike kaesi or are annoyed with her. if it weren't for the story ending so soon i would get rid of her character overall but there's not much left for this story so it's staying as it is.
