Chapter 4

Love lesson 2

It feels like we spend most of our lives waiting on someone.

Depending on other people to make us happy.

All my life I have counted on others for my happiness.

Never realizing no one can make me happy.

I have to be the one to decide to be sad, or happy.

Fairytale s are just that.

They aren't real.

They are something an author makes up to draw us in.

Yet so many of us base or lives on them.

We want that prince charming to come and rescue us.

We want to be with the man that lifts us up, and shows us love.

When we find someone that isn't everything we read about we get disappointed.

Then it all falls apart, and we never know why.

It's as if we dream up this ideal person that can never fit into that perfect mold.

We watch all these sappy movies, and think that love is supposed to be like that.

Love is nothing like the movies.

It's hard work to keep love alive.

It's almost like a garden if you don't tend to it the weeds grow, and just take over.

If we want to be happy we have to throw all these fantasies out the door.

We have to break the mold, and find what really matters.

All we ever really want is to be wanted.

Loved for who we are.

To be with someone that won’t hurt us.

I guess what I'm saying is stop waiting for a prince that isn't real.

Stop letting someone else dictate your feelings.

Take control of who you are, and what you want.
