The rest of work went by fast. I got home took a shower studied some then left heading to the club.

Parking my car in the parking lot of the club my mind goes back to hearing her sing. How she calmed the room yet her presence felt in every way by everyone. Curtis pulls up beside me with Rose in his car and Chloe behind them.

We sit towards the front and heard five people sing. Some were good, but this one needed some serious work. The host came on stage and started introducing the next person to the stage.

“I am so happy to have this young lady back gracing the stage with her amazing voice. Everybody welcome back Journee McFields.”

I look at Curtis and he look at me. I look back to the stage and see her looking right at me. She walked over and whispered something in a woman’s ear and she walked back to the stage. Her eyes looked deep in mine again. Chloe leaned over to me whispering in my ear “What’s she doing here?” I didn’t bother answering just looked at Journee as she begins to sing.
