I Loved Her First

2. Zara Deeks

Narrator's POV

He looked as if the air had been drained from his lungs as he stood there barely able to breathe let alone think. The only thing on his mind is his girls and the danger they were in. All he could think of is how he wasn't able to protect the three people he loves more than life itself. "Hetty were my girls home? Are they okay?" He finally asked seemingly afraid of what that answer might be

"Your daughters are fine mister Deeks. They're on their way here as we speak" She assured him and he let out a breath he didn't even realize he'd been holding. He knows for sure their mom can handle herself in any situation, but his little girls are just babies. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if he lost them

Kensi wanted to be angry with him so badly, she didn't know the full story but it's evident he has an entire family he's never so much as mentioned. She wanted to be upset with him for leading her on when there's someone in his life he seems to love so much, but all she saw when she looked at him was a dad worried about his kids, a husband worried about his wife, and as much as it killed her knowing the man she fell for belongs to someone else she couldn't make this case about her. They'd have to find the missing woman then work out whatever issues follow

Without another word said Deeks headed downstairs where he paced back and forth waiting for his girls who felt as if they were taking an eternity to get here, while the remanding three agents stayed up in the operations room looking over crime scene photos

"Hetty oh my God! The woman in that photo was just identified as FBI supervisory special agent Zara Chopra." said Nell

"The Zara Chopra?" Asked Sam "The first woman to ever train and lead a delta unit who are some of the toughest men on the planet. This woman single-handedly took down one of the biggest terrorist cells since Isis and not to mention she's the best intelligence analyst in the country." He continued "I didn't think it was possible for a woman like her to be in any way related to Deeks"

"She's one of my shero's and currently runs the FBI's joint terrorism task force out of New York" Eric chimed in "There's no way this was random, and if she was taken for information we could be in trouble. Her security clearance is top level, and she designed the firewalls for almost every intelligence agency" he informed

"Now we know why the FBI, Homeland and the CIA are all over our crime scene. They just lost their best asset" said Callen

"This woman is extremely sheltered when it comes to her privacy, there's no way whoever took her knows what she's really capable of. Her job title is the only thing about her that isn't classified" Nell informed them "She's a ghost, so there's not much we could do. There's no way they'll give us access to help on this case" She told them just as the screen in ops went dark

"What the hell was that?" asked Callen

"That was the FBI shutting down our investigation. Their remotely deleting all of our files" Said Nell as she and Eric furiously typed away trying to stop the hack but wasn't successful. There was not much the agents could do at this point but join the golden-haired detective in the bullpen. He was their only source of information when it came to the missing Indian analyst due to the classified nature of her assignments

They stepped into the bullpen about the same time as Granger did. With him were the two blue-eyed little angels who excitedly ran in squealing at the sight of their dad "Daddy, daddy, daddy" They yelled. Their light accents sounding like a mixture of both Indian and American. The agents stood in awe of the tiny pair who embraced their dad with the biggest hugs

(Annabella) Bella & (Amelia) Mia

His girls were beyond beautiful, and both had nothing but love to show their dad "There are my favorite little munchkins" he greeted with just as much excitement silently thanking God that they were both okay and unaware of what was happening with their mother. He smiled as they excitedly told him about the past few weeks both speaking Hindi "Granger were they home when this happened?" Deeks questioned the assistant director

"Yes, but both were asleep upstairs and immediately removed off the scene by a fiery brunette who refused to leave them in my custody. She's headed this way" The older man informed as the chestnut-haired woman stepped in. Her hair held in a low bun, she was dressed professionally but the agents didn't cease to notice the gun tucked into her waist

Katherine Houghton Beckett

"I've been calling you all morning" She said before pinching Deeks' arm making him wince in pain which made the girls giggle

"You two are supposed to always be on daddy's side, that's not funny, and Katie I always leave my personal cell at home when I go undercover, you know this. I haven't gotten it back yet" Deeks explained

"Next time leave an emergency contact. My detectives are working alongside Zara's task force and we just got a possible location. Her old delta team just landed so gear up blondie, we've kept her waiting long enough" Said the brunette

"You found her in less than six hours of her being missing?" Nell questioned

"You don't know her team" Said Kate "They won't rest until we bring her home safe, and I'm not trying to be rude but I honestly have no time for questions or introductions. If you guys are in then we gotta move

"You heard the woman" Said Callen "Let's go bring her home"

"Nell, would you and Eric mind keeping an eye on my girls until I get back?" Deeks questioned "

"Go get your girl, they'll be okay here with Eric and me" Nell assured him, happily talking the hands of the twin girls as their dad and the team quickly gathered their gear. In all honesty, Kensi didn't know how to feel. She's about to help rescue the wife of the man she fell for. She had no issue with helping the agent in need, but her focus wasn't 100% on the mission. There was far too much going on in her head which is expected in her position 

I've decided to change Isabella's name to Annabella, no major difference since she's still referred to as Bella throughout the story
