•Matthew's POV•
It's Sunday night and I'm in my bed eating loft-house cookies, the most delicious cookies ever. It's been a few weeks since school has started (it normally starts on the first week of September) and I'm already stressed out. Haha, not really, but I use that as an excuse to avoid going out anywhere. Being ranked number one in my whole class is a pretty easy task, especially since almost everyone at my school is too into trends and the latest rumor. If you don't know already, being ranked number one means no social life and if you do have a social life and perfect grades then you basically have no sleep at all. Anyways, I'm Matthew Serrano, the world's biggest sucker. My family is suspecting that I'm gay and guess what? I'm hella gay.

I took a bite out of my last cookie and started getting ready for bed by brushing, flossing, washing my face and cleaning my glasses, I hate them as much as I hate people who don't like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Unfortunately, that person is my friend Isabella. She's number two in our class rank and she always disses me about being number one and that she deserves it but she still hangs out with me, which makes no sense. She's the one who has both splendid grades and a social life, I'm jealous.

I turned my bed light on and tucked myself in, tomorrow's Monday. "I despise Monday's," I say as I watch the full moon get covered by clouds through my window.

•Marcus' POV•

It's Sunday night and I'm at my friend's house partying my ass off to the blasting music. My friend offers me a cigar but I strictly decline it, my grandmother died of lung cancer. Although... I don't refuse a drink, no one in my family has died of liver problems, at least not yet.

"Hey bro, you hear anything about your sister yet," my friend Luke asks "I heard these weird ass rumors that she probably ran off with some dude twice her age." I chug my last few ounces of beer left and say, "That's not true. No one knows where she is so don't believe anything you hear." I crush my can and throw it in the nearest trashcan. Some girl tried to dance with me but I didn't even budge. I was hungry and could go for anything, especially those really good cookies. I don't know what they're called but they're really good.

"I'm gonna go, it's getting pretty late!" I yell at Luke who was dancing with the same girl who tried making me dance with her. I scoffed. He gave me a thumbs up and continued dancing. When I was outside the door, I felt deaf because it was so loud in there. I walked over to my car, a Chevrolet Camaro, and started driving off into the road. While on the road, I stared at the moon, it was hiding behind the clouds. It looked amazing but it made me wonder if my sister was still out there "hiding" like the people in our town say she's doing. She's been missing for about four years now, she was twelve when her disappearance hit the local news. It makes me sick when our neighbors talk about "sightings" of a girl being seen who resemble my sister (which didn't turn out to be true), it gave me and my family false hope.

Another thought came into my mind, I have homework due tomorrow and I haven't even started it, sh*t. "Welcome to the life of Marcus Russell," I murmur to myself.
