Chapter 1

"I don't think it's a good idea Jane."

I glanced at my two best friends, Alex and and Rachael  and smirked.

Stroking away some strands of my chocolate brown hair from my face I said, "For one; please stop saying words simultaneously, it freaks me out and for two; chill guys it's just a tiny roller coaster."

We are at an amusement park and sitting in the first row of a roller coaster, waiting for it to start. I didn't know the name or the ride, but it was batman themed. The walls had his 'bat' sign, the waiting area was dark, the batman 3 soundtrack playing on it and the roller coaster chairs had black seats. It was pretty cool if you ask me.

"Just a tiny roller coaster? Are you kidding ? It's the biggest roller coaster in this entire park!" Hollered Alex. I guess I shouldn't have said 'a tiny roller coaster' . . . Well, my bad.

"And Jane you know how much I'm scared of heights." Rachael added.

I glared at her for an instant then spoke, or rather pointed out, "You said the same thing before riding every roller coaster here and after that you are the one who pleaded to go on them again."

She opened her mouth to speak but the bell which indicated the outset of the ride cut her off.

"Well now we can't do anything" I said innocently and winked at her. She rolled her eyes and looked ahead.

The ride began it's ventured journey making me smile with glee, Rachael on the other hand, Whined. "You know if I don't survive then my spirit will haunt you" said Alex, flatly.

"Oh we'll see that later on" I said coolly.

Finally we reached the top of the ride making me squeak like a little girl, when she gets a new Barbie doll. I gripped tightly on the supporters and waited for the ride to begin but Soon my excitement changed into mute shrieks as realization hit me that we were going to drop from probably 100 feet or more height, and not only will get the free fall sensation, but also the feeling of something forcefully pulling you down towards the ground a.k.a the giant metal seats. Oh god, I was going to die!

Panic rushed through me as we fell. people around me were shrieking but Rachael and Alex's screams seemed the loudest. I wanted to cover my ears and prevent nuclear explosion in my eardrums but my body chose to betray me and grip even tighter on the handles. Stupid reflexes.

The rest of the ride was a blur to me, all I remembered was the ride going down in swirls and then going in giant loops, making us hang upside down.

When we got off the ride I thought I would finally receive peace and relief, But no, the universe had no mercy for me, because my two idiotic best friends dragged me to see our photo on the ride.

"This is the most hilarious photo I've ever seen" said Rachael triumphantly with her eyes focused on our picture. "Agreed" said Alex with a smile even wider than her face.

In the picture Rachael and Alex had an expression which said 'Best roller coaster ever!', but mine on the other hand said 'please get me off this ride before die!'

I rolled my eyes at them. From the corner of my eye I saw the exit of the ride.

This is it Jane, a few steps and you'll be out of this place.

"I'm so buying this photo" said Alex, the grin she had now changed into an evil smirk. "Me too" said Rachael.

Just a few steps, come on!
