"Sorry! This is so embarassing."

Those were the words. The first words his soulmate would say when they first met.

Since he was little his mom had always told him how much she loved her father and how perfectly they complemented each other. She said that it was what a soulmate was like and that they would be forever happy.

Yeah yeah..He never really believed all that. It was true that all his friends were happy with their soulmates but he had lost faith in the soulmate thing.
He was already 17 and no soulmate, normaly the lovers met at the age of 15. They could be both boys, a boy and a girl or both girls, no one knew.

His mom was always pushing him towards all kind of events so that he had more chances of meeting his soulmate but no, nothing. Actually he hated to go out of his confort zone and that's what his mom does.

He stopped staring at his whrist and looked around. He had locked himself in his room not wanting to be disturbed. He lived with his mom and dad but they were frequently visited by his grandparents, cousins, etc and he would be the victim of an interrogation because of his words. Today he wasn't in the mood.

Why were these words so important???? Those were simply words, writen on his wrist.
He always hoped it was just some prank and that thing about soulmates didn't really exist but everyone, I mean everyone, had some words writen on their wrists, arms, feet, legs, neck, ankles or somewhere else.

Suddenly he heard bagging on his bedroom door breaking him off his thoughs.

"Changkyun you better get your ass up and come downstairs, your family is waiting for you."

"I don't want to."

"Im Changkyun, now!"

"But mom..they are going to start asking me lots of questions."

"I couldn't care less. You better open this door and come out or else I will break in."

"Geez mom. I'll go take a bath, be down in five minutes. While I'm preparing please calm down."

"I swear if you-"

He cut her off by opening the door, giving a quick peek on her forehead and close the door again.

"Just go. Stress makes you look older you know?" Changkyun said smirking.

_____

"You're so cute!!"

That is so embarassing! Their first words are too much!! What could he possibly say to them for them to say that???
His friends are always picking on him because of it. Well they all have found their soulmates, he's the only one who hasn't..He's already 18 so Kihyun should know them but he is starting to lose hope.

These words pointed to a girl. I mean, what guy would say he's cute? That was a problem. No, he's not gay but he is really shy talking to girls.

Well, whoever it was he had to learn living with them. The soulmate system is really important and has been since forever. They say it is true, that all of the lovers would get allong really well and stuff like that.
Kihyun was very enthusiastic about it at first but now he didn't care anymore.

Also, he came from a wealthy family, maybe the most powerful in the area so his parents wanted him to take the right path. They were starting to get impatient about Kihyun's tardiness on finding his pair, fearing that their family would suffer from the consequences.
Therefore his parents would try to improve Kihyun the best they can. They believed if he was more talented and wise he would have millions of people wanting to discover if he was their soulmate.
Kihyun was starting to freak out about it. He was taking manners lessons, foreingn languages like English, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish lessons, sciences and chemistry lessons, cooking lessons, dance lessons, piano lessons, guitar lessons and even dating lessons. He was totally done with it.
The only thing he loved to do was what he didn't take lessons for. Singing. He always loved doing that.

A cough made him realise he was not alone.

"Sir, is everything alright? You were looking into space."

"Yes Mary, I'm fine."

"Sorry to interrupt sir but Master wanted you to go talk to him and Lady." Said Samantha, another one of his housekeepers, entering the room.

"Oh, ok. Thank you. Excuse me."

He got to the conference room, where his parents were patiently waiting for him.

"Mother, Father." He greeted.

"Kihyun, have a seat please." Mr.Yoo said.

He sat on the couch opposite his parents' one.

"So, we have been discussing a certain matter and came to a conclusion. You need to quickly find your soulmate and your extra classes are surting low effect. Me and your mother decided to held a party, more like a ball."

"Excuse me but how will that help?"

"We will invite everyone in the town. I'm positive that your soulmate is going to come." Ms. Yoo said, joining the conversation.

"I have low faith this is actually going to work but if you bothered planning it then I will gladly attend."

"Good. Now me and your mother must let the word travel so that everyone in the town knows about this event. You are dismissed."
