Yuri let out grunt as she blocked her mothers katana, swiveling around her own katana her mothers hold on the sword loosened and Yuri managed to catch it before kicking her leg behind her mothers leg causing her to fall back. In triumph Yuri let out a smile and pointed both swords at her mother who smiled proudly at her daughter. "私は過去5年間であなたがどのくらい改善したかを伝えることに飽き飽きしません(I'll never get tired of telling you how much you have improved in the past 5 years)."
"まあ、あなたは偉大なメンター・マザーです(Well, you are a great mentor mother)." Yuri handed her mother back her sword just as her cellphone let out a bing. Yuri let out a sigh and unlocked her cellphone seeing she had a text from her best friend, Rosario.

Heart pounding, Yuri felt as if she could not breath, her thumb shaking slightly as it hovered over the link attached to the message. "どうしましたか(What's wrong)?" Yuri's mother asked walking up to her daughter and looking at the phone to see what had happened.
Upon seeing the words written on the screen her mother understood. It had been five years since the Queen's Gambit had been shipwrecked and the once missing Oliver Queen had been presumed dead. For five years Yuri had decided to stay away from Star City, moving to Japan to be with her mother who used to be a member of the League of Assassins. Yuri was so angry with Oliver, her boyfriend, and Sara, one of her best friends- she had needed a way to vent and her mother had given her the perfect way to do so.
Yuri never used her newly acquired skills on anyone but, with all the training she had manged to sweat away her anger every time her hands touched a katana. The only downside, every time she touched the katana her mind would flash with memories of her and Oliver, memories of her and Sara and she felt even more betrayed.
But, even with the feeling of betrayal, the hurt, and the sadness- Yuri knew she would never be able to hurt Oliver in that way because there was still a part of her that loved him.

Another message rolled in making Yuri bite her bottom lip, a tear rolled down her cheek as she looked up at her mother who held sadness in her eyes for her heartbroken daughter. Sora, Yuri's mother knew all about heartbreak and it pained her to see her daughter going through the same thing.
It had been a year before Yuri had been born, Sora was out on a mission for the League of Assassins when she met Kyung, Yuri's father. Sora knew she shouldn't have but she fell in love and became distracted from her mission. Ra's Al Ghul had heard of this and sent people out to look for Sora, and by the time they had found her she was pregnant.
Ra's Al Ghul had decided to let her leave the league, not long after Kyung Choi was found dead with a katana by his side. Although heartbroken, Sora decided to stay in Starling City to raise her child in the place her father had been raised, to take care of the Cupcake Factory which had been enheireted to Yuri. Sora had spent the rest of her life blaming herself and the league for the death of her husband.
The moment Yuri was free to take on the responsibility of running the Cupcake Factory she had left for Japan. Sora was thankful that her daughter had understood, she was thankful for the daughter she was given. "スターシティに戻ってきますか(Will you go back to Star City)?"
"私ができるかどうかわからない(I don't know if I can)." Yuri cried switching off her phone and throwing it on the couch. Sora moved forward and wrapped her arms around her daughter, this had caused Yuri to break down. Although for the past five years Yuri had been letting off steam, there was still a part of her that had held back feelings and now that she knew Oliver was still alive all those feelings had surfaced. She began to cry like never before, every hurt, and sad feeling she had held back for Oliver had been let out.
Sora shushed her daughter rubbing her hand soothingly against her daughters back. "あなたは私の親愛なる閉鎖が必要です(You need the closure my dear)." Sora whispered against her daughters ear before pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Yuri pulled away from her mother, her tear stained face now red from the crying and Sora reached forward using her thumb to try to wipe away the tears. "私は彼に何を言いますか(What would I say to him)?"
"あなたは彼に会う時を知っているでしょう(You will know when you see him)."
