Five hours.

Five painful, long hours had passed since I talked to Evan. My mind kept wandering and I wanted to just dive in my pool and forget any of this is happening. It would've been better if I didn't say anything. I wouldn't be so worried right now and everyone could've gone on with their normal lives... Fuck, so why can't I just except it?

A ding came from my phone and I jumped a bit from the unsuspecting noise. I grabbed my phone and saw a text from Evan asking me for my address. I let out a shaky breath that I didn't realize I was holding in and replied with shaky hands. After sending the message I looked around my deathly silent house, wondering what I should do while waiting for Evan.

Soon I decided to make something for dinner. As I made my way sluggishly into my kitchen, I browsed all the ingredients I had trying to figure out what to cook. I had quite a bit of food for just one person since I usually buy a lot when I go to the store, just so I don't have to go back so soon. Eventually I decided to just make spaghetti and meatballs with, of course, bread sticks. I preheated the oven and dumped a crap ton of breadsticks on a cookie sheet.

Some type of miracle happened and all the food was cooked just right. Not a single breadstick was under or over cooked, which made me really proud. Satisfied with my work I set the table but didn't make it too fancy. Smiling, I looked at the clock. 6:58, it read. I felt my face pale and heart drop. Evan could be here any moment. My body tenses up and all the nerves in body were screaming at my brain to just get in the pool already. I shook off the feeling, knowing it wouldn't help me in any way.

Once I calmed down slightly, I went back into the living room and plopped down onto the couch. I covered my face with both of my hands, sighing. My thought and heart were racing. My emotions seemed to be fighting with my current knowledge over something I couldn't really piece together at the moment. I rubbed my eyes aggressively and let out an agitated groan.

My hands fell to my sides as a soft knock came from my door. I froze and stopped breathing for a second. Another knock echoed throughout the house and I stood up without thinking about my actions. All I knew was I needed to do this now or things could go south. I reached the door and grasped the cold, bronze door handle. Without another thought, I opened the door.

As the door opened a bright light shined in my eyes and Evan was standing right in front of me. I almost gasped at just how amazing he looked in person. Every small detail about him screamed perfection. I noticed he was admiring me and seemed shocked. I was an inch or two taller than him which I didn't except since I wasn't that tall for my age. Then again, he is younger than me.

"Uh hi," I said trying to break the silence and his stare.

"Hey," He replied back and seemed a little surprised that I said hello.

"Well you didn't come all the way over here to just stand outside my house. Come on in to my amazing crib," I tried to make it less awkward by just being myself and stepped out of the way so he could enter my house.

He let out a small chuckle, "Thanks and I expect a full on MTV Cribs tour of your house now," He went inside.

I laughed a bit loudly, "Of course, but first we have to eat an amazing dinner made my yours truly," I closed the door and walked over to Evan who was by my couch.

He turned to me, "You can cook?"

I snorted at him, "Yes I can you dick! My cooking is amazing."

"I'll be the judge of that," Evan replied smugly.

I smiled and walked into the kitchen with Evan following me. I'm not sure if I was imagining it or not but when I smiled I thought I saw Evan blush. Nah, just my confused brain making me see things I wish were real.

     "Woah, you made all this?"

I turned around and Evan who seemed to be in awe at everything I made, "Yep."

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's eat because this shit looks delicious!"

I laughed at that, "Hey you can't call my food shit then say it looks delicious!"

"I can do whatever I want. You're not my mom," He stuck out his tounge making me blush.

"You can't do whatever in this house young man!" I joked back.

We both laughed for awhile at our silly actions and eventually sat down to eat. Evan instantly started eating which cause his eyes to widen. I giggled at his reaction making my nose crinkle up in a way I didn't like people seeing. I grabbed a breadstick and bit off a small piece when I saw Evan staring at me, blushing.

I was a bit startled and swallowed the chunk of food, "Uh... Evan are you okay?"

He jumped at my voice, "Oh, yeah. Sorry."

I could only nod and went back to eating. We enjoyed the food in a strangely comfortable silence. It was if we did this every night together and it was just normal. Every part of my body wanted that to be real.

Evan finished eating and wiped off his face, "This is really awesome. I love this."

I love you.

He seemed to freeze and a blush spread across Evan's tan face, "W-what..?" He stuttered.

I looked at him confused, "What?"

     "W-what did yo-ou just say?"

I felt myself pale in fear of I said those three important and true words out loud, "Did I say that out loud..?" I asked cautiously.

Evan only nodded. A wave of dread and regret flowed through my body. We just met in person for the first time and I just told him the thing I didn't want him to know. Oh god, he's gonna hate me now. For fucks sake he didn't even know I was gay!

     "I'm so-"

     "I love you too."

My voice got caught in my throat. I felt my eyes widen and cheeks grow red by the second. Before I could even comprehend what just happened Evan pulled me into a huge hug, almost making me fall out of my chair. I hugged him back, tightly, never wanting to let go.

"How long have you felt like this?" I whispered into his shoulder.

He pulled out the hug with tears in his eyes and the biggest grin he could've made on his face, "For so fucking long. You don't even know how long I've loved you.

I smiled and rested my forehead on his, "I guess we're both about to learn a few things."

"Well, if you give me the tour of your house and stop in the bedroom for a little bit, then maybe I'll learn a little bit more."

I smirked at him, "Oh don't worry, that comes after the tour."

He smiled and I connected our lips into a soft but long kiss. It was just the two of us, together, relaxed and happy.

I should've showed him my face a long time ago.
