A pourquoi story ("pourqui" means "why" in french ), also known as an origin story, pourquoi tale or an etiological tale, is a that explains why something is the way it is, for example why a snake has no legs, or why a tiger has stripes. Many and are pourquoi stories.

Historia CortaHi. :) so in my english class we had to write pourqui tales and i decided to write about merman and mermaid. it's really bad but i had fun writing it. This is one of my favourite things I've written so I really hope you like it.
