"I'm sorry Mrs. Cadeb but Mr. Cadeb is on a business trip right now, but he'll be back in time for the funeral of your ex husband," the maid said as we arrived.

Before this whole thing happened mom would have been glad to be called Mrs. Cadeb but at this time she treated it like it was a curse and damn sure it was. Mom sighed in frustration as me and Chad looked at each other desperatley.

"Oh gosh," I sighed and went upstairs to the guest room.

"You're going away from Halter after your dad's and Keith's funeral," Mom suddenly said as me, Chad and her were having our breakfast in the family mansion garden.

"What?" I choked on my toast that was still in my throat.

"Halter isn't good for you," Mom stated.

"Yeah but that doesn't mean she has to go away," Chad said as he gripped my hand.

Mom looked at Chad as if he was part of the blame I was going away."I'd really appreciate it if you don't bother my daughter Chad," Mom said.

"But mom...I can't..." I said.

"Wether you like it or not you are going away from Halter for a couple of months, until things cool down a bit then you can come back," mom said.

"How about you? What if the same thing happens all over again just because you felt lonely and needed someone to be with! Mom, you need me, we need each other and I love Chad," I said.

"I still have a business to run and Britney honey don't worry my business will keep me busy," mom said.

"Look, I'm not leaving Chad," I said.

"Brit-

"Mom please you have to understand! I love him!" I exclaimed as I used the mommy card on her.

"I can't let you. I still don't know if he really works for his father or not," mom said.

I looked at her with gaping eyes. After all that we have been through she still wasn't in the slightest, convinced that Chad wasn't an ally of his father?!

"Even if I have to shoot my father with my own hands, I'll do anything to prove you that I'm not an ally of my dad," Chad said directly speaking to my mom.

My mom's eyes widened in surprise."I'm not asking you to do anything of those, I just don't think you're the right for my daughter," mom said. Okay now mom was treating Chad like she wasn't her stepmother for the last few days. Chad looked take aback.

"How do you know if were right for each other or not?! You got married to a man who tried to kill us!" I stormed out of the garden and made a run for it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~a couple days later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"May the souls of the two rest in peace," the priest said as he closed the book and everyone began balling their tears out, including me. I was crying for both of them. I loved both of them. I was both going to miss those good and bad times we had. The whole family decided to have their funeral together since they died at the same reason and way. Both of them buried was a horrible scene for me. Mom was hugging me and was also balling her eyes out, but Charles wasn't here. I was a bit thankful that he didn't show up or else someone was going to be buried along with them. Chad was with Bryan, Nana, Camille, Jessica and Camille they were all sobbing. I still hadn't told them the news about me going away for a couple of months. And mom didn't want me with Chad, but I had to try and plead to her. Chad and I were still not ready to let go of each other we won't ever be ready. I knew Chad was the one for me and it took a whole mess for me to figure it out...
The following day,which was my last day here in Halter (for a couple of months) I told Bryan and Nana that I had something important to tell them. Of course it was about me going away form Halter for a couple of months. Chad told me he'd meet us right there. I almost pushed the call button for Keith's number but then realized he wasn't here anymore. I struggled to keep my tears back since crying in the public would make me look weird. I gathered my strength and walked in Bryan's floor and walked, or more like dragged my feet, towards his door. I knocked a couple of times and finally the door opened. I saw first met Bryan's tired and puffed eyes, he was clearly crying hard and hasn't been able to sleep soundly since the incident. I forced a small smile to my face and walked in and saw Nana who looked half asleep the scars from the mess hadn't healed that much and clearly her skin didn't look that good. Chad came into view and I saw him sitting beside Nana. He looked charming but as I could tell everyone had tired and anguished eyes.
"I have some bad news," I said. Silence took over as they looked up at me.
"What is it?" Nana asked hugging herself as if that would cover all the slashes and scars.
"I'm going away," I began to say, then everyone's head shot up of course Chad wasn't that surprise his head shot up first and hurt was visible in his face.
"Away? You mean away from Halter?" Bryan asked.
I nodded in confirmation. Nana got up and burst in tears as she hugged me."You can't! I need someone to comfort me!" Nana said.
"Britney, you can't just take a break from all of this what if-"
"This wasn't my decision it was my mom's," I said as I cut off Bryan.
"I'll come with you," Chad said his eyes burned with longing desire.
I shook my head."You know why she forbids me from seeing you," I muttered.
"Forbid?" Bryan asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Mom still doesn't trust Chad enough, since she believed that Chad still has some 'bad' connection with his father," I explained.
"So almost killing his son wasn't enough of a reason for your mom to believe that Chad had nothing to do with his father's evil plans?" Nana asked as she broke of the hug but there were still tears streaming down her face.
"Apparently not," I said.
"I'm so sorry, Britney," Bryan said as we all four of us had a group hug.
