Elena POV -
I woke up late morning. It's silly but smaller things seem so big in my head. I never went out, never even spoke to people so the fact that a boy, that I hardly knew ,came to my door asking me to go out on a date was somewhat incredible but also very terrifying. Instead, my life consisted of binge watching tv and doing homework which in my opinion is a very sad way to live your life. I knew I didn't need 3 hours to get ready but of course I was going to start early just incase but I knew I would somehow find a way to be late.
I decided to take a shower, then hair,makeup and dress. I didn't know what to choose so I went for a placid blue loose one. I didn't know what we were doing or where we were going so I just went simple but cute at the same time!
KNOCK KNOCK!!!
Was he trying to break down the walls? I threw my ring on, grabbed my phone and ran down the stairs. "And where are you going?" Jeremy! "oh I'm just going out with some friends, that's all..."
"Oh I didn't realise that you dressed up that for friends. Nor did I know that you and that boy outside were just friends."
"Oh shut up Jeremy, Im going now, dinners in the fridge!"
Just as he turned around the corner I pulled the door open...
Damon POV -
Wow. Elena pulled the door open and she looked too amazing for words. Her hair was how it always is but it seemed different and her dress was well it wasn't the top of it I was thinking about, if you get what I mean. It's a good job I made Stephan prepare something 'romantic' at home as I couldn't be bothered going out. All I wanted was me and her and a chilled evening. I wasn't very good at that part but Stephan owed me one anyway. "Wow Elena, you look stunning. "Thank you, you don't look half bad yourself." My heart somehow started to feel warm again. Not yet complete but like parts of me were coming back to myself. I closed the door behind her before talking, just so nobody could hear us and we had a moment to ourselves. "Hey Elena, I know we only just met but I just wanted to say how much I like you and how gorgeous you look this evening. It is my pleasure to be able to take you out tonight.",
"Why thank You, but where is it that we are going?"
"That my friend is a surprise, just trust me and I promise you'll love it?"
