1. Hired

6:45 a.m. Natsu's alarm rang through his one-bedroom apartment. the ringing shattered the silence and the Tranquility of his sleep, but he knew he had to be on time today. It was Natsu's first day working for Fullbuster Inc., he wanted to make a good impression on the boss, he was only a secretary but it mattered that he was on time, orderly, and efficient.

He turned on his shower faucet, the somewhat cool water pouring over his neck and shoulders, wetting his hair, and rinsing the sleep from his eyes, it woke him up so that he could get ready in a timely fashion without being sluggish and tired. Natsu stepped out of his bathroom, the steam billowing around him and a white towel hung low on his hips. he began to consider what he would wear to his first day, obviously something nice but what color scheme? Should he go navy blue? Or black? Perhaps a deep maroon to make a lasting, confident impression? Natsu was already nervous about his first day at this new company with new coworkers, and more importantly a new boss.

After finally deciding what he would wear for the day, he pulled on some black boxers, black casual dress pants, a pair of black vans, a white dress shirt and a navy blue tie. He brewed his morning coffee and had a couple blueberries and a piece of toast as usual. after grabbing his keys, wallet and name-tag for his new job and double-checking that he looked all right he grabbed his sweater, which was navy blue as well, and left his flat.

flagging down a taxi in New York City wasn't quite as easy as the movies had him believe it was, he spent nearly 15 minutes on the street being passed by and ignored by the multitude of taxi drivers. After finally hailing a cab he asked them to speed to the Fullbuster skyscraper as to make it on time to work. Natsu pulled up to the front doors of Fullbuster Inc. at roughly 7:43 a.m., he was quite early but he likes it that way, if anyone was in the office he would go on coffee runs, do any leftover work, and and make the impression that he was willing to work; which he was.

Who walked into the office, with the rows of cubicles in the same shade of beige as the last place he worked. The circular clock on the wall now indicated that it was 7:52 a.m. which was a good time to be there, work started at 8:30 a.m.. wondering if anyone else was in the office at this time he called out, for he didn't see anyone else.

" excuse me, is anyone else at work yet? I'm the new secretary."

He didn't hear anything for a second, so we began to walk down one of the aisles in between cubicles, then he heard a voice. A deep, commanding voice, the voice of someone in charge.

" come back to my office, I'm curious to meet my new secretary."

Natsu's heart thumped a little louder at the thought of who was behind that voice. it came from the corner of the large room: a private office. It must be the boss, Grey Fullbuster.

Natsu approach to the office cautiously but hurriedly, he was excited to meet this new man, but what if he didn't like Natsu/ What if he got fired on the spot simply for his appearance, he did look pretty gay with his glasses, tie and sweater. His Vans didn't exactly seem professional anymore, he continued to worry what if he should have gone with regular dress pants instead of casual dress pants. As all of these anxieties flooded through his head, he got closer and closer to Graves office, soon he was right in front of the door. the door was slightly ajar, light spilling through the crack. Natsu swallowed his nerves and put his hand on the doorknob.

" may I come in sir?" Now Natsu was overthinking his way of speech, what if 'sir' was too much for this situation, should have gone with 'mr.'? before he was done with his anxieties over a minor slip of the tongue, he heard a voice inviting him it, well not exactly 'inviting' but he now had an indication that he should enter.

Natsu push the door all the way open, and was greeted with two dark eyes staring at him from over an oak desk covered in papers and a single picture. The frame was turned away from him so that Grey could see the picture encased inside of its glass, but Natsu could not. He took a step forward into the office, Grey was truly beautiful he lost his words all at once. the black of his hair and the Darkness of his eyes highlighted how fair his skin was. His hair was more Shaggy than Natsu would have expected for being the boss of such a company, it hung over his eyes slightly. just as Natsu was noticing his slightly Shaggy hairdo, grey let out a slight puff of air towards his fringe as to move it away from his eyes so that he could get a better look at Natsu.

"Welcome to the first day at my company, I hope it's enjoyable what's your name?"

"M-my Name is Natsu Dragneel, thank you for this opportunity sir"

Their eyes met.
