We decided the leave the drama between the kids at school aside. For now at least. But, Grayson and I decided we wanted to catch up with our friends, Jess, Jason, Ashlynn, and Derek.

We were going over to Jess' house this time. Although I'm not sure that would be a good idea, considering Jason and her would most likely just spend their time making out.

I know that Ashlynn hasn't been out with Derek, most likely. Derek doesn't seem like the relationship type, not yet anyways.

Grayson and I got into the car to go to Jess' house. It didn't take long before we arrived and we're walking inside. Jess and Jason were on the couch watching a movie. Well, the movie was playing but they were cuddled close to each other, giggling like school girls.

Ashlynn was sitting on the chair next to the couch, not looking at Derek. Derek was looking at her though, until he noticed us come in. I smile politely and walk into the living room while holding Grayson's hand.

Ashlynn looked over at us and smiled in relief before standing up, grabbing my hand and quickly walked into the kitchen. I furrow my eyebrows and look at her curiously.

"Why are we in the kitchen?" I whisper curiously.

She looked out into the living room for a moment before looking back at me. "You have to help me, I don't know what to do with Derek! He's just emotionless and he makes me nervous." She said quietly and blushed.

I smile a bit. "Don't get too nervous around him, just try to get him to open up you know?" She nodded slowly and sighed.

"I just don't know how to." She said and looked away.

I rub her arm comfortingly. "Don't worry, you'll figure it out. Plus, I caught him looking at you when we walked in." I winked at her before walking back out to the living room. I turn around to look at her, seeing her blush and smile.

Ashlynn walked in a few moments later before walking up to Grayson. I watched her intently, only for her to grab Derek's hand. She walked upstairs while pulling Derek along, him with a confused face. I tilt my head to the side, wondering what she was about to do.

Grayson pulled me closer to him which made me forget about Ashlynn. He smiled and kissed me softly. "Don't worry about them, its good they're getting to know each other." I nod and smile as I pull him to the couch, sitting down with him.

Jess and Jason were now watching the movie and I decided to watch as well. We often chatted throughout the movie. We found out that Jess and Jason are now dating, although that's not a shock to me.

Grayson said they would be the first to get married and I laughed, and I couldn't help but agree. But I also couldn't help but admit that they were a cute couple, the perfect match in my opinion.

I looked up at Grayson and took in his features, noticing his eyes sparkle, and his smile looked genuine. I didn't know at this time that I was falling for this boy, and I was falling hard.

i know this is a short chapter too but i needed to update with something. should the next chapter be all about ashlynn and derek? should i even update fight lessons or just leave that book alone? do you think i should give this book a few more chapters and then end it on a good note, or just drag it out longer? a lot of questions but it would help me greatly if you let me know!
