"Michael go already It's your turn" Calum complained as the frail and pale little boy next to him sat with the flashlight in his hand under a large blanket Calum's mom provided for the boys.
All four of them sat in the middle of Calum's living room where they spent most of their friday nights staying up and telling ghost stories and eating pizzas and sadly smelling each others farts. Typical boys right?
"Ugh, I cant go mine's is too scary and all Luke's gonna do is get scared and want to go home to cry to his mommy" Mikey mocked pointing towards the direction where the little blonde boy sat eating on a twizzler and wrapped up in several blankets sitting next his best friend before Calum and Michael, Ashton.
"No I'm not! I swear!" Michael shrugged and tapped the flashlight holding it under his chin and giving Luke an evil smile. "Well then, let's begin. It all started in the summer of 1957-" The boys immediately started complaining about how he knew the story when he wasn't even born then and Michael would clap back with a ' I got it off of google shut up and listen'

"Tell me you aren't going to tell the same one you did last week" Ashton giggled uncontrollably unable to contain himself when he had the flashlight in his hand and I was his turn to tell his story. " No I- AHAHA- I swear it -hahaha" Michael smacked his teeth and crossed his arms while they all waited for Ashton to finish having his giggle fit.
"Alright Alright, the other night when me and Luke where walking home I -"
"Gay, you guys walk home together?" Michael cut Ashton off and Luke immediately balled his fist up ready to sock him upside his irregular dome. "Shut up and let him finish!"
"Whatever as I was saying, When Luke walked into the house I couldn't help but to feel really cold like unbelievably cold and once I got to the end of the street I saw ..almost like a white figure, like a woman cloaked in a white dress, but her head was down the whole time" Ashton spoke softly. Luke pulled his legs up to his chest growing a bit scared. Michael shoved a bunch of chips in his mouth while Calum stared at Ashton as if he was really into his story.
"Did you r-really, how far away was it from my house" Luke stuttered feeling uneasy about Ashtons words. "Did you pass by it? Was it like a physical ghost? Oh! It was probably that bitchh Mary Anne Stephanie from are class she's always looking weird" Michael said a little bit loudly and they all shushed him especially Calum whose parents where asleep upstairs.
"Dude my moms upstairs!"
"Yea and don't curse" Ashton added. "And I don't know, it wasn't wearing shoes or anything..It just stood at the stop sign all creepy and stuff, I walked away and didn't look back" At this point Luke's mind was hoarding with negative thoughts.
What if the figure Ashton saw traveled to his house or haunted his neighbourhood. Luke was always the one to overthink and get anxious about the littlest things. "Great, stories over let's go to sleep I have band practice in the morning" Michael says getting in his sleeping bag along with the rest of them.
Luke looked around his surroundings and slowly moved closer to Ashton. He waited until Michael and Calum were asleep before he started to speak. "Ash..you up?" He whispered and Ashton turned over to face Luke before grabbing the flashlight, turning it on and putting it in between them.
"Whats wrong? " Sh asked looking concerned for Luke. "That figure you said that you saw are you sure It wasn't a real person or just like an old trashbag or maybe a halloween decoration that never got taken down?" Luke whispered and Ash smiled before moving closer to him.
"I actually made all of that up there was no white figure. I just didn't want them to think I didn't have a cool story as all, I hope I didn't scare you did I?" Luke immediately shook his head no and felt relief once Ashton had told him that.
"No but, thank god" Ash smiled before turning the flashlight off and falling asleep peacefully.
These sleepovers occurred every friday and so did the stories..but something new came. oddly and very unexpected.
