Gone

I haven't been this afraid for a long time. I felt my hands shaking, my body being cold, my eyes being teary.

All because of this man in front of me.

"Teisha?"

Why would Teisha bring him here? She knows what happened. She knows how much trouble he caused to me yet, she invited him here, holy freaking stars!

"Just... let him speak and listen, okay?" She hurriedly ran towards the door.

"Teisha!" Before I could even say another word, she went out of the freaking room.

Wow, Teisha. Really? Are you my friend or what?

Yes, I feel hatred towards Teisha, really! This is the only time, as far as I could remember, that I feel this for her. How could Teisha do this? Today is supposed to be magical, memorable... special.

But, why did she brought him here?

I took a deep breath before facing him, "What do you want? You've ruined my life already. Isn't that enough?"

He smiled, which surprisingly surprised me. Instead of responding, he pulled a chair and sat near me.

"One day in the 70's, a little version of me, whose hands were filled with books, entered a cafe near his school. After deciding what to eat, he called for a staff to order his meal. A beautiful young lady showed up." He looked down on the floor and smiled.

Did I asked him to tell me a story? Am I a kid? Holy stars, because of him, I thought today isn't my birthday!

"He forgot his purpose why he went to the cafe, which was to study, when his eyes gazed at the girl. He made sure to remember that day, where he never imagined that he'd meet a girl that would change his life. After school, the boy will always go to the cafe just to take a glance to the girl."

I sighed. I knew it, right from the start; he's a freaking playboy-- a fuck boy, rather. Maybe he's the cause why there are a lot of fuckboys in this world today.

"And from that moment, day by day, they fell in love."

I smirked. Love? Really? I can't imagine love and him in one sentence. It just doesn't sound good in my ears!

"That cafe was the witness of their love for each other. That was where they first met, where they first dated, where they first confessed their feelings, where they first kissed... that café witnessed everything. That's the place where he proposed to the girl."

I glared at him, which was an achievement for me. I think this was the longest time I stared at him like this. And holy stars, I think I'll be blind!

I heard him sigh before speaking, "Years pass after their marriage, they received a gift from the heavens, our little girl... you."

I felt shivers all over my body when he said that and smiled at me. Gosh, can he leave? Like, right now? Can't he see that I'm not interested in his stories?

He's just lying, I know that. He thought I'd be caught by his "sweet words" well guess what, my cards are better than his. I, too can play this game of his. And I'll be the winner.

"Aeviry, you don't know how happy I was when you came into our lives. I love you so much, both you and your mother."

"That's a lie." I felt a tear unconsciously falling down. Holy stars, I'm crying again for someone unworthy of my tears.

Why? Why did he showed up? Why today? Why on my day?

"It's not." He protested. I shook my head.
