She saw it, she says

Melanie Forrester was the second most popular girl in her school. She was a tall and slim girl with a lollipop figure. She had a long and impossible cartoon character, Disney Princess, red hair. Other girls would envy her hair to death. The only girl who was more popular than Melanie was Joan Jefferson, her best friend and the Queen Bee of Edgewood High. A blue eyed blonde, who managed to look sexy while dispising other people, was the only girl who made Melanie look like a second choice. Beauty on the outside, ugly on the inside, as Queen Bees usually are, Joan was no exception. Melanie had gone missing yesterday but her friends weren't worried. They guessed she'd be with some hot guy she met at a party the day before yesterday, she was known for that kind of stuff.

- A total slut! her friend Violet told Joan. Violet was the third and the last one of the popular girls. She had straight and short black hair and she wore her makeup 50's style, her signature style. The day after the party Joan and Violet were sitting in school and having lunch outside.

- Did you kiss Johnny last night? Joan asked.

- Maybe. I think we did more than that tho. I kind of woke up naked and in furry hand cuffs in his place. It's kind of a blur. What about you? Violet said with no shame whatever. She was quite the party girl and thought that the wilder her reputation was, the better. Joan was used to this kind of talk from Violet. She also was open about her sexuality and used her sexual power over men all the time in her favor. God had given her all this power and hot looks, so, it would be a crime not to use them, she thought.

- Oh, I finally got to fuck Billy's brains out. You can't even imagine how wild it was, I swear. I was on the top, screaming and fucking him so hard I get turned on just by thinking about it. He'll never forget it. And now I have a huge hang over, Joan was wearing huge Prada sunglasses, though it was quite cloudy.

- WHAT? Billy the hot cop? Violets eyes went wild.

- Yes, Joan answered with a smug smile on her face.

- The uniform is so fucking sexy, she continued.

- Maybe I'll marry him one day... By the way, did you see Melanie? Her parents have called me and said she's missing. Again, Joan asked.

- Yeah they called me as well. I don't remember, it's all a fuzz. I think I saw her with Josh, or maybe it was another boy, dunno, she's fine, I think, just being dramatic. Again.

Melanie was the only one with a boyfriend but she never really stayed true to him, was always dumping him for a new guy, until they turned out to be idiots and she took him back. His name was Josh and he was in vocational school, studying to be a mechanic.

- Call Josh? Joan asked Violet, even though she had her pink iPhone on her pretty little hands. Violet started to look for his number.

- Put it on speaker, Joan demanded. Violet did what she was told.

Beep, beep, beep...

- Hello? Josh answered.

- Hi Josh, this is Violet and Jo-, Joan had stopped Violet by putting her hand over her mouth.

- Don't say my name, Joan mouthed the words silently.

- Josh, I was just wondering, have you seen Melanie? Violet continued.

Silence.

- Josh. Are you there?

- No I haven't seen her. God knows where she is, and with who. There's no trusting her but what can I do, she is a free woman. I did not see her last night. But she called me. Fucked up. She told me something that she saw. Something about their Au pair, Josh said.

- What did she say? Violet asked.

- Just bitching about her, you know Melanie.

- Ok thanks, bye bye Josh, Joan hung up the phone before Josh could say anything.

- Now I remember, I saw the Au pair too. She had blood all over her hands and she looked freaked out. But when I asked her about it, she just said she had cut herself. But maybe she did something else... If Melanie doesn't turn up by tomorrow, I'm going to the police station. The Forresters' Au pair is suspicious.

The news about Melanies missing travelled fast. In another table was Jeane sitting there with her friends. She was Joans' sister but hardly ever spoke to her at school. Joan was always specifically mean to her. Now, Jeane was staring right at Joan but she didn't notice. Last nights party was on her mind too. Her friends, Thomas and Eve, were talking about who did what, when Jeane suddenly remembered what was so odd about last night.

- Melanie wasn't there, Jeane said. Her friends looked at her.

-  At the party? Thomas asked.

- DId you see her there? She wasn't. She never misses a party. And now no one knows where she is. Somethings not right. I can feel it, Jean continued.

- Are you sure? Eve asked. But she couldn't be sure. There was so many people at the party. But at the party, she did have a weird feeling like something was missing, or someone.

- You totally have a girl crush on her,  Thomas said.

- No it's not that. I can feel somethings not right. I am afraid they will find her dead or something.

- A murder? In Fort Abscon? Don't be ridiculous.

Jeane went home early that day, she was feeling sick. Unlike her sister, she wasn't popular, even though she also was a blue eyed blonde, a less sexy version of her older sister. They didn't really have anything in common except Lump. They had a pet chihuahua called Lump, cause he looked like a little lump on the couch when he was napping there. The only thing they both loved. Lump greeted Jeane happily when she arrived. Their mother was home too.

- Jeane? Is that you? Why are you home so early? her mother Jolene Jefferson asked her.

- I felt sick mommy, I am going to bed.

She went straight upstairs.

The next day Melanie was still missing. Like Joan said she would, she went to the police and told about Forrester familys' au pair and the blood on her hands. The police started looking for Melanie and the next day her boyfriend Josh put together a search party for her.

On Wednesday, they found her.
