   'Is this real?'
   'What?'

   'You might find out eventually...'
   'What do you mean?'
   'Oh, nothing. Just kidding around.'
   'Okay...'
   'I just cannot thank you enough for this, Chris. William.'
   'You don't have to thank us. We're doing what's necessary.'
   'Elaborate.'
   'What we are doing is necessary because it is necessary you stay safe. It is necessary because you are a wonderfully kind and innocent person who has suffered through some movie-ass-drama-shit. It is necessary because I promised myself that I would do absolute fucking anything to protect you from the evil that so rudely contaminates your blurred over life. I promised myself that I would be there for you during times like this, if they ever occurred. It is necessary. It just is.'

   Chris' words didn't entirely make sense, as he was growing quite emotional behind the wheel.'

   'Chris... I didn't know you felt protecting me was your duty... It's not, you know? You're supposed to be living a normal life with me...'
   'It's not a problem. Really. Just let me take you home.'
   'Can I crash at yours?'
   ''Course William. I wouldn't trust your place after what happened, anyway.'
