the calluses on my hands rubbed against the frame of the picture, the only thing i had left that held any special reasoning to me. there were four people, staring into the camera as their smiles were captured in the moment. four friends, ready to face the future together, unaware of what was coming their way.

the first person in the picture was a lad with a green hood. he stood shorter than the rest, a mop of brown hair laid on his head, bangs scattered everywhere. on his right was a ginger, a bright, welcoming smile shaping his freckled skin. the two males were eyeing each other, making any bystander assume they had a thing going on. tord wondered how the pair was nowadays.

a few feet from the tooth-rotting sweet duo was another pair. splotches of grass smudges were evident of the two rolling on the ground, ruining their black and blue sweatshirts. they were in a fairly, suggestive position for the two teenagers; the one with the black hoodie was sitting on the blue's crotch, though he looked completely oblivious to his straddling. the one on top had an innocent look on his face, with long dark brown bangs covering his stormy eyes. his significant two swirls of hair shaping up into horns were notable, even if they looked a bit knocked up. the kid beneath him had two very noticeable features; void eyes and a brown head of hair that would define gravity. his cheeks were barely flushed, and his eye sockets were drilling holes in the male above him.

ah, tord thought, the good old days. shame we can never live through those years again.

a wave of sadness washed over him, as the only thoughts circulating his mind now were self-doubting. it was no secret he blames himself for anything bad that every happened to his old gang; damn did the boy have some issues of his own.

a pattering of feet in the background knocked him out of his trance. he shoved the frame into his pocket and tried, in the least-noticeable way, to scurry away from the hurrying footsteps.

no avail. the other person seemed to only speed up. it wasn't until they shouted his name did he start panicking. holy, holy shit. i know that voice. why would he come after me, though? all i ever did was cause trouble for them.

tord started to jog at this point. he went down to the edge of the forest, far past the park he was near before.

he was a klutz, though, and the first tree root he came across had the honors of tripping the norsk. he was so close, only an arms reach from disappearing into the forests' looming shadows. a rock, too, was below him, with an edge sharp enough to knock him unconscious, but has enough of a smooth structure to the point so it didn't cut his head.

he couldn't hear edd approaching him from behind.

[yo yo yo
so i'm finally revising this
and yes this chapter was fixed before, but i felt like it would be out of place with the rest of them once they're all done. so i did it again.
and since i've only got two n a half days for school this week, i can work on it this weekend too. i can finish most of, if not all, the chapters i have left.
