She was a bundle of insecurities wrapped up in the neatest disguise. All the turmoil her soul held was shaded by a smile; a very sad but convincing smile. So no matter how bad things got she always seemed okay. But that could never be true, it was never true for her.
The bright sunlight cut her sleep short as it intruded the room. She was dreaming; dreaming one of those wonderful dreams you never want to wake up from. One that you wish you could dream again. If dreams were like movies, she would replay this one time and time again.
She faced the real world again and split the possibilities of how her high school life could have played out.
It was not what she hoped for, it was not what she wanted. She learned some things, made friends and lost some. But what she didn't plan for was meeting the guy that changed her life and not for the better.
This is the way it played out. In a way it could have been avoided; maybe telling the truth at the right moment would have altered this. She wouldn't be this close to him and no one would care. But sitting on the sidelines who would ever know your name? She wanted to be remembered but not like this.
