The rain fell as the torrents of wind tossed themselves at the trees. The storm brewed.
The terrain filled itself with a relaxing and soothing ambience as the winds blew and cooled the once torrid hour. The storm stretched itself and veiled the lands from enough sunshine.
The palace guards looked up at the cloudy seas, in the hope to find what their king had ordered them to keep a mind and eye at.
"Keep a good eye at the stormy firmaments at any cost," the king had said a few days ago, "for the great prophet Zola has prophesied that a boy in the storm would fall from the sky near our kingdom, and after he reaches the ground, the darkest thunder would fall upon him. Bring him to me after you find him for he is the one on whose hands the whole world's impending fate lies upon. He is the Last Hope to fight the imminent war against the Forces of Darkness."
Prophet Zola's prophecies have always been completely accurate as so were her ancestors', no doubt that trouble was really stirring around the world. It was evident with all the incidents that has taken place just recently. A kingdom's crown prince was murdered. A masked man was able to kill through a queen's well-trained guard and assassinate the whole of the queen's royal family. And then there were the strange insidious movements happening around in the north. Evil was growing everywhere, and this boy could be a way to put a stopper to their relentless rise.
Under the foliage of crying clouds, the guard's eyes suddenly widened as he saw something in the distance. A portion of the firmament seemed to suddenly distort and tear itself to a large crack, as he saw something falling down from it. The crack in sudden mended itself, and all left was the falling thing. The thing was a boy, he saw. He gasped at what he was seeing. Their Last Hope had arrived!
"Gods!" the guard exclaimed, arresting the attention of all other guards. "The boy!! The boy!! Our savior!!"
The other guards looked where the exclaiming guard was looking and were able to see their fate falling towards the ground as they remained frozen on their grounds, the emotions stirring in chaos. "This! It's happening!"
The boy continued to fall as he descended to the ground in a speed that was slow enough to not injure or break any bones of the boy.
A brilliant black shaft of lightning streaked and collided against the boy as soon as he fell on the ground, and then a noiseless boom of powerful gales sprang and spread in a wave everywhere around, powerfully blowing at the guards like a tsunami of water as they nearly lost balance on their ground.
"The boy!" the guards exclaimed in unison. "Let's get him!!"
The downpour continued. The storm raged.
