Stars.
Our ancestors studied the skies, stars and other heavenly bodies. They use this knowledge to know the exact time when the crops will grow, the best time to harvest produce or when to go to sea and fish. This knowledge helped them predict upcoming catastrophe as well.
They did not only use this for their domestic needs. People who are more knowledgeable in reading heavenly bodies can read someone's future or study the history of the world.
Our ancestors believed that this knowledge were taught to them by Star Beings. They passed this on to them to be able to communicate with them once they returned to the skies.
It is said that everything that has happend in the past, happening in the present and will happen in the future are embedded in the skies. One just have to have enough knowledge to read and understand them.
On the other hand, others believe that people who are destined to be together were once a star. That they are connected by this Red String of Fate.
Stars. Too much mystery behind them but one thing is for sure..
