A kingdom sails across the ocean looking for land to start their new home they find land after many years of sailing and living off seafood. They start to build their lives on the land and notice there are lots of good resources on this land, but there would be many death and blood of animals or humans not far from civilization or even in the city on full moons. They send out men to hunt for the monster killing their innocent people, but when they return they came back with nothing. One starts to tell the king information from their travels into the woods and land. During their hunt, the men have discovered an old looking castle looks to be barren if they didn't hear loud howling from it. The king starts to prepare the kingdom for the next full moon to not let the beast in they build a wall sharpened at the top and tall as an ordinary tree. They finish the wall few days before the full moon, the king is happy it's built but it is not enough. The king makes a plan to stop the beast by doing a bit of research on what they have so far. They know it only comes out at night to feed on animals if not on full moons as far as that they don't know anything about the beast. An advisory of the king tells him to build a watchtower to observe the creature as he passes by the wall. He assigns some of his knights to the night watch. He puts the towers around the kingdom like you see in a compass and they would watch each night for the werewolf. Some men see him pass by observing the walls and at times the wolf would stare at the men right in the eyes then leave. After each night the king would want a report from each tower mostly from the south, the direction of the abandoned castle. The knights come back with descriptions if the beast, standing at about 6 feet or higher, hair all over his body covering most if his face as well, his eyes a bright yellow that shines off the moonlight, hands with sharp claws on the tips. One of the men have caught a glimpse of how sharp they in action, there was deer eating and he came out of nowhere and cut the deer's throat out easily. After more descriptions each man, the king asked an artist to make a drawing of the beast. The artist was finished hours later in detail of what he was told of the beast appearance. He showed the king and he gasped at how terrifying it looked. He sent an announcement of who will volunteer to hunt the beast after the full moon with him to protect their town. Some men have volunteered to the hunt and invited into the king castle to train for the hunt. All the men said goodbye to their families the king himself said goodbye to his own daughter and wife. His daughter was a little girl as he left to hunt for the beast all family worried for their husband's lives. The hunt was taking a toll on the men, yes they all came back injured badly but safe enough to return before the full moon. They traveled into the castle to face the werewolf and notice that it use to be a human as well until he was cursed by a witch one day and killed her after the curse was placed on him. They found a book about the beast and how he would start off as human and transform but the beast noticed that some features would stay each month until he couldn't turn back to his human self anymore. He lost his humanity, as well as the days, passed it was alone on this island

The king returns home hugging his family lovingly and heads back to his study to write about his hunt and what more details of the beast they called a werewolf. Looking like a wolf mixed with a human as it can stand on his hind legs and attack like a wolf. Most features describing the looks of a wolf the daughter eavesdrops looking at the picture of the beast through a crack of the door. She analysis the drawing photo and gets more and scarier the more they add features. She runs to her room when she hears thunder remembering she left her balcony door open. She enters her room seeing the air come through the curtains making them fly crazy. She closes them but a flash of lightning scares her back falling and they open by the force of the wind. She gets back up to close them again, but as she does yellow eyes in the trees catch her eyes. They stare at her anger and loneliness is what she sees in them until someone calls her making her turn away to call out that she is fine and will be down. She turns back and notices the eyes are gone. She heads downstairs to see her father suiting up to go back into the woods with a few hunters in the kingdom.

"Daughter, I need you watch your mother at the times I am gone to be careful on what happens to and in the kingdom, okay?" She looks at her father in the eyes before nodding to his words which make him smile at her with love and kissing her head.

He stands up letting her walk out of the throne room as she leaves she thinks about the sad yellow eyes she stared into. She is in her bedroom and sees something in the balcony. She opens the doors to the balcony and sees a little purple and blue aster flowers laying on their side as she grabs them. She studies them for a while before looking up to see who was the one to leave them and brave enough to climb the castle to leave these for her. She looks around until she says the yellow eyes again now filled with curiosity and worry. The princess smiles and waves at the eyes all it does in return is leave her there with the flowers left for her. She pouts at no responds and heads back inside making sure the doors are locked tightly. She looks around her room before looking around the castle for a vase for the flowers the creature left me. She sighs and finally asks a maid to give her a vase as she hated to ask people do things for her. She was a mature little girl for her age. She was a misfit, always wanting to do what is wrong, but doesn't because she would be punished for her actions. When she is alone she does what she wants to read all the books she wants to read, draw what she wants to draw, dance freely no music or strict lessons, and most of all to go outside the wall into the forest where we get most of our supplies.

As a princess, she must stay in the castle for safety not from just what's outside the wall, but bandits as well. She is a prize that can be sold to different countries and use as a bribe to ruin the kingdom wealth or life if an enemy appears. The princess doesn't know that could happen to her out there as she is still young.

The princess finally gets a vase for her flowers, she puts them in her vase putting the vase on her drawer near her bed. It gets late which mean time for bed for the little princess. She gets ready for bed, but get interrupted by a powerful howl she jumps at the noise and looks at her window and sees the yellow eyes. She goes to the door which is being pounded on by the heavy rain. Lightning flashes and the yellow eye creature was in front of her doors standing tall and bulky. Heavily huffing looking down at the princess and amazed at how she hasn't yelled at his appearance. Injured and soaked the creature kneels down to close to his height and taps the glass to see if she will let him enter her room. The princess' eyes widen realizing what is in front of her; "The Monster," she says to herself.
