Feeling the song, party done
Shadows walking home
Walking with our game on
The music was loud, you couldn't hear a thing. You had to shout to a person's ear just to talk. I didn't come here to talk though.
Me and my friends always go to this club because we find it better compared to the others that are scattered around the whole city. We've tried all of them but nothing was as great as this. You can't find any architectural designs as pretty as the ones here, as well as the music quality oho there's none like this. You can't forget about their food and drinks. They have their own twists to alcohol beverages you thought you could have never imagined. Oh, they're generous with fries too.
"Hey! There's a spot over there!" Lee Na shouts. This girl always wears black mini dresses whenever we drink. She claims she gets guys easier.
We made our way through the huge number of people inside the building. The lights were colorful as usual, moving through the ceiling while flickering. There was the mixed smell of different scents from the people and different fragrances from the beverages. The ever so loud music echoes throughout with the bass shaking up the whole place. You could feel the surge of energy from this place just by merely standing outside.
As we found ourselves in our usual seating arrangement, Soo Hye ordered for everyone which is somewhat the norm for us. She's the pretty girl in this group, everyone's senior even if she's just a few months older than us.
"Where are the lovebirds at?!" I asked them.
"They'll be here soon!" Soo Hye answered.
Leaning towards me, Lee Na says, "Speaking of which, where's the guy from yesterday?! I thought you were going to be serious about him?!"
"When was I ever serious?!"
"You bad girl! He was kinda cute!"
"Don't like him!!!"
"They're here! The drinks too!!"
It was funny how we're accustomed to having a conversation through screaming at each other's faces. Not literally directly but, you get what I mean. As soon as I've had enough glasses to forget my pride and shame, I went along with the crowd to dance to the dj's remixes of songs exploding from the speakers. Along with me were my friends moving to the beat like freaks who look like they had enough shit to get high on.
The three of us were facing each other, going with the flow of the music, already a bit drunk and kind of sort of just a little teensie weensie flushed with redness. With the constant beatdrops and body wave-inducing sounds, everyone was at the peak of youth---even with the underaged girls beside us trying so hard to look more mature than they are, as well as the men and women in their 30's and 40's who obviously look like they just got out of work, the singles flirting over the bar, the ones grinding on random strangers, and the ones actually making out in the middle of the dance floor, maybe even at the restroom.
It's crazy how many people gather at places like this to just wind out and have fun---a few other reasons like---see, if you look there, some want to get drunk for unknown reasons, some just want to dance without having to care how much they suck at it, some want to meet new friends, some want to prove themselves something, there's the lot who go here to find possible partners for sex or for life, et cetera.
"Yoonji!" Lee Na called out. "Have another glass! This tastes hella great!"
"Alright!" I screamed, trying to find my way. She was just beside me a while ago, how did she even get to the bar that fast?
Another friend, Soo Hye, snapped a look at the culprit who's usually the main reason of my drunkest moments and swiped the drink from her saying, "Don't you dare. She's already drunk---"
But I grabbed it fast enough from her hand and drank it all in less than half a minute. Thereafter, I felt the adrenaline rush. My heartbeat was already fast but the pace grew quicker with my mind already spinning quite a bit but still not enough to put me down. How can you not love getting drunk?
"Ah, seriously, this girl." I heard Soo Hye say while making an 'I'm going to hit you' expression.
"What's the problem with it? It's what we came for!" I smiled, receiving a light punch to the shoulder. It wasn't even strong but I'd have fallen to the floor if they didn't catch me sooner.
"Yoonji-ah!!! Are you drunk?!" Ah, Soo Hye's angry.
"I'm not!!!!!" I shouted before giggling.
"Okay, she's drunk. Let's move her over there."
"I'm going to hit you, Min Yoonji!!!"
Still giggling I am.
These were my friends, Lee Na, soon to graduate from school, I met her when I was in high school. We used to fight a lot but we also hung out a lot and that's because being the top students back then meant representing the school in debates. Soo Hye is a childhood friend, she's very dear to me. She's the one who took care of me when I was younger even until now---I consider her an elder sister. There's also Joong Soo and Ah Yeon who are too busy fondling each other at our table. They don't often meet due to their strict parents plus they go to different schools so there's a reason they're like that. I've forgotten how they became my friends though.
Everyday is like this, though we aren't always complete. This was our common activity ever since I dropped out of college.
"Yoonji-ah, when are you going to get back on your feet?!" Soo Hye suddenly said. I mouthed a what.
"How about getting a boyfriend?!" Lee Na asked, making me chuckle.
"What's with you guys tonight?! You don't usually question me about this!" I screamed, looking at them with my brows a bit furrowed, slightly moving my hand up and down.
"We're graduating without you, you do know that right?!"
"We're just worried about you! How about staying with someone for more than 24 hours?!"
I laughed a bit while telling them that I'm fine. I mean, I really was. I'm totally fine.
"Oh oh, there she is. She's becoming flirty."
"Ahhh look at her tongue go. This habit of hers whenever she's horny has to stop."
"It's already at this point? Did you give her something stronger than usual?"
"Earlier? It wasn't supposed to---"
I was scanning the room while they were talking in the background. I couldn't even hear what they were saying anymore, too busy looking for someone I could have a little fun with.
"I'm going to the other s---Ah."
Just right across me---was a guy I caught brushing his hair.
And as for me---I found myself biting my lips.
The music was loud, you couldn't hear a thing. You had to shout to a person's ear just to talk. But a glance was enough for me to know what we both wanted.
