"Yo, Hanuel! Get up, Why are you still sleep?" I woke up to the sound of my best friends voice and a hit on the head. I opened my eyes to see my friend Kwang with a bat in his hands getting ready to swing at me.
"I'm up, I'm up" I say while sitting up on my bed. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Well your Mom Called me telling me you wouldn't get up and of course I HAD to help her, There's no way I'm going to school and you aren't" He replied while putting the bat back in the closet.
"Well then don't go." I said as I attempted to put my head under the covers until the covers were pulled away by Kwang. He opened my closet door and pulled out my school uniform. He threw the clothes at me before moving over to my dresser and pulling out my purple jordans from the bottom drawer. He put those at the side of my bed before pointing at me and yelling "Now get dressed!"
He walked out before I could complain. I got up and put on my clothes before walking out to see Kwang playing with my dog, Haru. I walked past them and headed to the bathroom to check my hair before heading back to my room to get my backpack and my phone before heading into the kitchen to grab a granola bar before heading it out.
"See ya later mom! Love you!" I yelled.
"Love you too!" Kwang said.
"Shut Up!" I said as I closed the door.
We walked towards the bus stop. Kwang looked too excited to be going back to School. Kwang is my best friend, he has been since 5th grade. Kwang has always been the outgoing one out of the two of us making him more popular than me. I don't really care for popularity though I don't see how it's such a big deal.
"Yo! Dude look" Kwang shows me his phone. "BigHit is having auditions dude we should totally try out!"
Right before I could tell Kwang no the bus came and we entered. We both sat in the first seat on the left.
"No. I'm not going to audition I'm not even talented" I said as Kwang turned off his phone before looking at me with excitement in his eyes.
"Dude I've seen you write songs and I've heard you sing. YOU are talented" He argued as he put his hand through my brown hair. "Come on! Please!"
"Maybe I'll think about it" I said as I pulled his hand out of my hair. "now let's just go to school without discussing auditioning"
Kwang sat back in his seat and sighed. His smile didn't leave his face though. I know that smile all too well, I knew he was planning something but I chose to ignore it.
After a few minutes we were at school. It was like a wave of negativity hit me. I was already ready to go home. I walked out of the bus and I immediately made eye contact with Kim Nari. She was one of our friends and she always lit up a room whenever she walked in. She had to be one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen.
"Hey, look It's Nari!" Kwang said as he punched my arm. I rolled my eyes. Kwang knew that I had a crush on her, he even claims that she likes me too. I don't believe him though. I know it's just too good to be true.
Nari turned at she immediately smiled when she saw me. She ran as fast as her little legs would take her and she jumped into my arms. She felt so warm and I had to admit I loved being in her arms. I could feel her heart beating at such a fast rate and accelerating. Her hugs just make me feel as everything will be ok.
"Um, ew" Our hug was interrupted by a disgusted Kwang. Nari and I broke apart when we saw her brother Yeong make his way over to us. He hugged Kwang before coming over and hugging me too.
"Well it's a new year, You know what that means?" Yeong has a huge smirk on his face as he says this.
No one answers as we stare and wait for him to yell out his answer.
"New classes of course!"
"Well does anyone have any classes with me?" Kwang asked as he took out his schedule to look it over. Everyone followed and looked at their schedules as well. As I skimmed my schedule I snatched Kwangs out of his hands before comparing them.
I sigh "We only have 5 classes together this year."
Nari lifts her eyebrow up at me "Only five classes? We have six periods a day."
"5 isn't enough for us. Get used to it Nari, Hanuel like me more" Kwang sticks his tongue out as he spits this statement out earning an annoyed look from Nari.
Nari comes over to look at my schedule and frowns. "We only have three classes together."
I frown a bit as well but realize she might be a distraction if I have her in all my classes so I just keep a straight face. As we all start to talk I look up to check the time when I notice something that is barely seen where I'm from.
I notice a slim girl with very poofy and curly hair and very tan skin. I didn't even realize I started stare until Kwang caught me.
"You like what you see?" He nudges me as I turn and notice everyone else is staring at me as well at this point. Nari looks kind of hurt when we make eye contact.
"Sorry" I mumble, "I've just never seen a girl like that before. It's really rare for me."
"Well It's rare for a lot of us but you don't see us staring." Nari said almost annoyed.
Kwang rolls his eyes. "Actually I saw that girl earlier today. She was on the bus. I think she's new and she's really pretty isn't she? You think she speaks Korean? You think she likes Korean guys? Should I talk to her? I'm gonna go talk to her." Before I know it he's running to the girl.
"What the hell Kwang!!??" I yell as I chase after him.
