I looked down at the hands of my watch, worried. Rudy was never this late. Then again, he was probably just being lazy, or you know, doing boy stuff...
Or getting ready as it was time for school.
My thoughts were cut off by a black Ferrari pulling up.
"Rudy, since when have you had a car like..."
You can see that it's not Rudy in the car. A handsome god seemed to step out towards me, blonde hair ruffling in the cool breeze. I feel a tingly warmth run through me as he approaches, his orange eves fixed upon me.
"So," he begins in a husky voice that was both warm and dangerous. "You must be Jessica."
"Y-yes... But w-wheres Rudy?"
Oh god why am I stuttering?
"Rudy is at home with a fever. He asked me to come pick you up, give you a lift to school. My names Dellons."
He extends his hand towards me and I hold it softly, my tiny feminine hands in his larger manly ones.
"So, are you gonna get in or what?"
He turns back to the Ferrari gesturing for me to get in.
I climbed in taking in the soft leather seats and a warm scent that hung in the air, making me tingle.
"Augh, slowcoach!"
I was greeted by a familiar purple haired teen sitting in the seat next to me.
"Ugh, sorry Jave" I mutter under my breath.
How does spike put up with him??
Even though Jave was only a few years below me, he acted a baby and was constantly clinging to Spike, like a needy child.
Ugh he is a needy child.
"Hey," Dellons began turning around in his seat to face me, eyes again fixated on me.
"You wanna come round sometime? I'm sure Roo would appreciate the visit."
I can't help but think he had other intentions beside me seeing the sick Rudy but I accepted, didn't really want a fuss.
"So, Jess..." said Jave, turning his head towards me.
"WHAT!" I snapped back at him, before immediately regretting it, seeing tears building at the edges of Jave's large yellow eyes, and Dellons looking at me through the mirror, a hint of frustration and arrogance in his eyes.
"Don't. Speak. To. Jave. Like. That. Ever... Understand?" He barely whispered, voice low and dangerous.
A wave of terror shot through my body,
"S-s-sorry Dellons, Jave I..."
I was cut off by Dellons stopping the car, rather abruptly and muttering, "we're here" under his breath.
Grabbing my books I rushed to class, before shoving everything onto my desk, still shaken from Dellons' low threat, Wondering what he'd do if I hurt Jave again.
Kris dumped his bags next to me before flomping in his chair, a hint of worry in his surly red eyes.
"How's Rudy?"
All I got was a small huff, his attention elsewhere.
"Kris, Kris, KRIS!!"
He turns his head towards me, annoyance replacing the worries in his eyes.
"I heard you the first time, baka." He muttered, flicking his eyes away from me with a physical force. "And yes Rudy is fine, a-although it's not like I cared otherwise!"
I rolled my large blue eyes, knowing how close Kris and Rudy were, although Kris pretended otherwise. "You know, being friends with Rudy is not a bad thing Kris. You don't have to pretend." I say softly, confused as to why he's like this. "Why are you so embarrassed by that?"
"We are not friends you, you, BAKA!" he snapped, eyes red and angry. "If you don't stop your stupid ramblings I am going to have to call Dellons, and you know how he feels about people upsetting us." Kris paused for breath, shaking in unexplained fury. "I do not need a psychologist okay? JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!!"
"Jeez Kris calm the fuck down alright?" I say, not wanting to see if Kris would actually call Dellons or not.
Kris just huffed again before turning sulkily to the assignment. Before I knew it the bell had already rang for lunch, and I was walking out of the classroom in a bored daze.
"Maths really dragged on and on didn't it?" Said a chirpy voice next to me. Feeling a hand slip through my elbow and start dragging me to a table.
"Ugh, Eileen tell me about it." I mumble unwrapping lunch and sitting down.
"So Jave says your coming round today? Finally if you ask me!" She says turning towards me, grinning happily.
"Yeah!"
"Can't wait girlfriend!"
"Ugh Eileen your so embarrassing"
"That's not embarrassing!"
"Is too"
We bickered back and forth for a while before the bell rings again for my final lesson, Science. Ugh.
I leave, promising to meet her after school.
*time skip to end of day*
"Spike!!" Jave yelled, running towards the tall man. Spike lifted him into the air, before pulling him close.
"You have a good day Jave?" Spike asked, his voice slow and steady almost monotonous. I made a mental note to ask him why he never seemed to smile or show any kind of happiness or sadness.
"Spike guess what!"
"Ugh Jave don't make me guess." Said Spike, digging hid fingers into Jave's sides, tickling him until he screamed. "Tell me or I will have to execute you this way."
"Aah.. Spike... I can b-barely breath... " Jave was gasping, serves the brat right I thought, though I'd never voice that opinion.
"Jess is coming round today!"
Yeah, well why are you so happy about it, we're not even friends
"Really now? Who says?"
"Spike don't you dare."
"Ugh. Just kidding Jave. Is she here now?"
"Yeah!" Jave motioned for me to come over, I followed, reluctantly.
"Hello Spike. I'm Jessica, but call me Jess." Holding out my hand to his I realised how numbingly cold his hand was, sending dull thuds of pain through my arm.
"Nice to meet you." Spike bent down, setting Jave on the floor again. "Why don't you run along and fetch Krissy and Eileen for me dragon?"
Jave giggled before running off towards the school, dumping his bags at our feet.
"Hey."
"Hey."
Then, a long silence stretched between us, as Spike put Jave's bags in the boot, before turning back to me.
"Your hand ok?" Spike asked, and then seeing my confusion he elaborated. "I am not too cold am I?"
"Well, yes, no offence you are. But, how are you so cold?" I was so curios I could burst.
"Ah, being made of ice sucks doesn't it?"
"But I thought it was only your heart?"
"Well yes, initially, but it spread, leaving me emotionless and freezing as fuck."
At least he thought it was funny. My hand is Fucking killing me and I'm gonna get frostbite or some shit.
"Spike! Spike! I got them!" Jave announced running back, before Kris shot him a dirty look.
"Jave you are not fucking 4 get a life." Kris snapped, shoving Jave hard in the chest.
"Kristopher."
Kris winced at his full name being used, before turning to Spike rather sheepishly.
"Sorry"
"Good. Now get in the car you lot before I die of boredom." Spike muttered, turning towards me and Eileen.
"Ladies first!"
