Riddle's Riddle [ENG]

Start from the beginning

Harry turned his face towards young Voldemort. He looked furious and was breathing heavily, as though ready to attack her any second.

Diana looked behind herself carefully.

"This is the last corridor. I'm going back to the dormitory," she said calmly, as though afraid of disturbing him. She made a few steps towards the staircase, and then turned to him one last time.

"Sleep well."

Harry could sense her disappointment and resignation in just these two words. She turned away from Riddle and stepped onto the stairs, then disappeared out of sight.

Riddle stood motionless for a moment, then punched the wall next to him. He turned a corner, not towards the dormitory but, as Harry knew, towards the Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. Edward followed Diana.

The scene in front of him changed, and Harry was surprised that he recognised it - because he had already seen it. Riddle was talking to Dumbledore in the corridor, but it seemed to be the end of their conversation, because later happened something Harry has never seen - Diana came running into the corridor, being followed by Edward. She looked shaken. Dumbledore had already walked away.

"Oh, I always wondered what happened there," said the real Dumbledore from beside Harry.

"Diana, come back here! Are you insane?" Edward yelled to her.

"Tom! Tom!" she shouted, ignoring the him and rushed up the stairs towards Voldemort. "Is it true? That girl's dead? I shouldn't have left you... This is horrible... You're alright, aren't you?"

Harry half-expected Riddle to burst out with anger, but instead, he smiled.

Again, that wicked smile.

"It's alright, the monster seemes to be only after Mudbloods," he said in a reassuring tone and Edward stared at him in disbelief, "you have nothing to worry about."

After that, Diana didn't even seem to think twice and hugged Riddle tightly.

"I thought something had happened to you," she said, breathing heavily.

To Harry's surprise, Riddle didn't pull away, but he slowly wrapped his arms around Diana as well, rubbing her back gently.

"We're safe. The girl was a Mudblood," he said quietly, his eyes fixed on Edward in front of him. Riddle was glaring, but it was nothing like a glare normal people could give. It was a mix of hatred and superiority, the real definition of a deathglare. Edward was just standing there, speechless, when suddenly Voldemort's eyes gleamed red. The boy in front of him stepped back, totally frightened, ready to run. Just then, Diana pulled away.

"Go back to the common room. I'll be there soon," Riddle explained as Edward kept on gaping at him with anxiety.

"Stay safe," Diana said quickly, then turned away from Voldemort and started walking towards the dormitory.

The scene changed again and there was the Headmaster's office, the very same one Harry was standing in right now, but the person sitting behind the desk wasn't Dumbledore - it was Dippet. In front of him were Diana and Edward, glaring daggers at each other from time to time.

"Tom couldn't have done it, Professor," said Diana definitely.

"He's the only person who was able to do it!" Edward shouted.

"You accuse him without any proof, maybe you did it, hm?!" the girl yelled back at him.

"Don't be ridiculous, Diana! You don't have any proof either!" Edward sprang to his feet.
